Dinosaur Critter mod - Anyone seen this?

I surprised we never heard of this before now. I know the last update to the dinosaur mod was not that long ago (6/2/2008) so I assume that he is still active. He mentioned using a "Sprite Creator V1.0" which i cant find anywhere. I'd like to know where the tool for creating new critters in...

Dinosaur Critter mod - Anyone seen this?

I stumbled across this mod yesterday and I cant find any reference to it here. It would appear that some guy has added a dinosaur to FOT. Last time I checked (a few years ago) there was no tool to add new critters to FOT ...

I wonder if they can port this to my mobile phone :)

    Fillauth - A Fallout demake

Cool :) What are you using as the game engine? Could we mod it to run in higher res? It's just the fallout2 engine is limited and we are always looking for ways around it :)

    Multiple censorship laws "frustrating"

Sure it wouldn't be that hard to build a game with this in mind. When ever you add something that could be offensive then you build parallel versions into separate modules at the same time. When you create a version for a given country then just need to set what modules to use. Plus it would be...

Adding FO's palette to images/disabling AA on outer edges

Before you can render anything you first need to: - Model it - texture/skin it - animate it So unless you have the original files from interplay it a whole lot of work.

Looking for talking heads resources or artist

I looked at a program that could morph still images and snyc them to a wav file a few years back it actaully work quite good. So you could get a still image and morph it into a talking head. The program is called "Crazy Talk" I figure the new versions will work even better.

    RNC Welcoming Committee

Woo Hoo! You guys are getting your very own police state over there, how nice. Make you think the police have nothing better to do than spend huge man hours planting informants into protester groups in the effort to stop a large bucket of piss. Too bad they spend those resources on preventing...

    animated scenery difference

Yes, Fallout 2 also has certain animated colours. If the image contains one of the said colours the engine will cycle the colour to give an animated effect. I'm not sure what program you need to use to create any these sorts of FRMs I know Frame Animator cant do them, so I figure you'll have...

    Here's a slightly updated list I made ########### #PREFIXTAG# ########### HA = HERO ANDROGENOUS HM = HERO MALE HF = HERO FEMALE MA = MONSTER ANDROGENOUS NA = NPC ADROGENOUS NF = NPC FEMALE NM = NPC MALE ################# #SUFIXTAG Part 1# ################# A* = Unarmed B*...

Adding FO's palette to images/disabling AA on outer edges

Cool, that makes a BIG difference to the quality and speed at which you can make good looking critters.

    critter sounds and animations

I had a quick look and the PC sfx files are called hfXXXXaa.acm and hmXXXX.aa.acm so it only has one set of sounds for the male/female PC rather than one for each armour (which makes sense). I'm still not entirely sure if the sounds also need to be scripted.

    Extra traits

We should probably go through Fallout Tactics and extract all the different skill dex images into a new FRM pack for easy download. Timeslip's a chick? I didn't see that coming, here I was thinking that all programmers were guys who lived in their parents basement and train smoked.

    FRM woes

All I can say is that if you are using Frame Animator with Continuum's method of loading the palette you shouldn't be having any problems and get a 100% correct conversion. What palette file are you using for your conversion?

    critter sounds and animations

I haven't seen such a list, but to honest I've never done much with critter sounds. That being said I was looking at doing this in the near future for MR so I might look into it. Have you extracted the sounds from the Master.dat and the critters from the critters.dat and compared them for any...

    wav2lip source

    1) As I said earlier Eimink doest want to release the current sourcecode because it's untidy and the comments are only in Fin 2) I've also told you that Eimink is currently working on new version 3) Eimink *might* release the sourcecode for the new version once it is complete

A chance to add more premade chars?

Yes and no, yes everyone wants to build their own character but the premade characters description fields can be useful for telling part of the back story behind a mod. It can also be good eye candy.

A chance to add more premade chars?

Maybe you should post this in Timeslips sfall thread as a feature request. If anyone can do it, it would be timeslip. It would be an interesting idea to have more than 3 premade characters
