A question for greater minds than me

At the point of cogito, he is only certain of him existing. When "proving" gods existence he is proving gods existence in a matter of "just has to be there to make it work", how to describe this form of existence i do not know. But from god existing he concludes everything else existing too...

As being a consquence of something, completly obvius for him so i understood. And it is definitly not material, since he concludes that the soul can exist without the body.

in PHILOSOPHY?????!!!!!!! And you got a point there, plus if he was perfect, he wouldn`t make any choices at all, since a perfect creature would only have one possible way of acting. Although he does not try to prove gods existence through that, but through this, if i imagine a creature...

A question for greater minds than me

We had the same question in one of our tests, I wrote that he was full of bullshit at that point and my teacher accepted, I do not know if your will. About that thing with god existing it is this way: He forms the image of something that "nothing better/purer can be thought of", know he...

Actually it is a little more complicated. Denmark invaded Slesvig, which now is a part of Slesvig -holstein, and then was some kind of nomansland between Germany and Denmark, somehow whon a war against Germany ,then making the mistake to atack Germany again when Bismark was in charge, believing...

The school is in Flensburg, near the border (i live 1 hour and 30 minutes from there, so i have a nice little tour by bus every morning). It is of the Danish minority, and due to som special agrements we can use our education as well in germany and Denmark.

We are the first course on this school to have it ever. Many generations before us fought for it. It is quite funny, since there is a lot of discussion in small groups, and a big discussion in the end, i`ve just finished a project called philosophy in computer games. And i do not know if all...

Ah, Kirkegaard. Since being on Danish highschool, and having Philosophy as primary subject, i`m probably going to hear more of him soon. We already scraped a little bit on the surface.

You are right, if all people would live Christianity as intended by Jesus, there would be no reason longing for a paradise after death, since it already would exist on earth. Sadly some people can`t live that way, no matter how hard they try, me included.

Well if we follow the logic of this discussion, we don`t even know emotion to exist, since we also here could have been tricked on a level we do not understand. I envy you, I really do. If i could think that way, I had a fixpoint in my life, and did not have to think about what happens to me...

10 I just really, really like it. Sadly I have proven totally incapable of making something equal myself.

Crap, by this post you do not just indicate that European philosophers have wasted, their time for 400 years, philosophising about existence and fixpoints of this philosophy, you`ve even made me realise i`ve wasted half a year thinking about this myself. I never thought about the thoughts...

If i understand the idea of determinism right, it is all about the decisions we make are all made by the body long before the "I" makes them, which would mean that the "I" is an illusion. However I know i exist, I know I make decisions. Or do I? Maybe I am just a republic of small slimy...

Respect? Well maybe a little bit. The same kind of respect one would have for Dieter Bohlen and his supserstar deal. But the disgust about their way of making business is much stronger.
