    Will Obsidian make another FO?

I look at it this way: If FO3 was the first Fallout you played, you'd think it was a good game, and its style of humor and plot was sufficient to the task of presenting the world. If you saw FO3 through the lens of someone who played FO1 and 2, you'd primarily focus on how it trod upon the...

    FONV feels unfinished

With one exception I can think of, most of the doors that say "key required" or similar tend to either be opened elsewhere or have one of those plot-specific keys that an NPC is in possession of. The doors that say "inaccessible" tend to be blocking a big pile of rubble or rock or scrap furniture.

    There are deserters in Primm?

Mr. House - Saviour or Tyrant?

You don't have to have the entire population be slaves in order not to have a free society. You just have to have slaves. True enough, perhaps, except... ...wait, what? It's supremely effective. And not just in the pi-in-the-sky assumptions you make of the Legion, either: The reason FO2...

    This. Too many feminine mustaches.

Mr. House - Saviour or Tyrant?

Not to change the subject (well, actually, with the strong intent to change to subject), but I'm finding it rather funny this topic of morality and such in a game where the entire point is the fallibility of man - no matter his form of governance - and within which the player can rack up a death...

Mr. House - Saviour or Tyrant?

You make a lot of assumptions for a society that openly stated that women are inferior mentally and physically. Like the guy who insinuated that the slaves would be treated well because there was so much money invested in them, I'm going to have to call bullshit: That was the same excuse...

So took out motor runner.... and my rep didn't go up.

This. Just imagine that from Neutral to Accepted is 100 points and you just earned 50.

That's one real big aside. Also, don't forget women.

Mr. House - Saviour or Tyrant?

THE FACT THAT THEY'RE STARVING. When the Kings, the Followers and the NCR need to provide relief services, that money is most certainly NOT being used to feed the people. Too bad that isn't the case. That would have helped your argument, wouldn't it? Ahh. The raiders who attacked and...

Because they're paying for it, lock, stock and barrel. They provide all its resources, and pay for all its iniquities. It's theirs.

Mr. House - Saviour or Tyrant?

Except there is NO - repeat NO - indication of ANY venture by House for these fundamental needs at all, and you can't blame Obsidian for that, considering how much they've painstakingly answered that question for everybody else. The guy who feeds you, houses you and clothes you gets to say...

So it should come to no surprise that within two weeks of the Courier rolling into town, he finds himself deader than Disco.

    Factions on the side

I just like to assume the distances are greater than depicted in FO3 and FONV as a matter of course, because otherwise you get a LOT of the "how is this community isolated; it's only a mile down the road" moments.

Large governments now - today - don't like to give license to gambling institutions because they don't actually add to the economy. A local government might tolerate the tax money from a gambling institution because the wealth it leeches happens to come from beyond its borders - New Yorkers...

Because I have to go through New Vegas to get to him, and New Vegas isn't exactly a declarative confirmation of his just and forward-thinking rule. In fact, Relentless666 says it best.

Mr. House - Saviour or Tyrant?

No, I have talked to him. How many petty dictators have drummed up support by saying things will be better in the future, rattling off a laundry list of pi in the sky milestones? Dforge, if your argument that House is a better dictator than any other because he lacks the power to do more...
