Mod Support for Fallout 3 Won't be Available at Launch

Phancypants, as I said before, considering that the game's engine was virtually unchanged, adjusting the existing TES editor to support Fallout 3 shouldn't be a problem at all. They're either lazy, indifferent, or wary of volunteer competition affecting their DLC sales. Personally, I wouldn't...

Mod Support for Fallout 3 Won't be Available at Launch

Anani, this is BS. I am certain I downloaded Oblivion's CS before or almost immediately after the official launch of the game.

    5 new gameplay videos

Jesterka, the first Fallout is 11 years old. I don't give a damn how its graphics look like. I most certainly don't see how anyone can reasonably compare them to Fallout 3. By today's standards, however, copy-pasting identically damaged walls on every single house on the street (here's one...

They did. And they delivered. Just look at the Clooney clone over there. Ain't he pretty? :wiggle:

I think I can see the Capitol from here. Sandbox world, one large enough for children to play in... How appropriate.

    5 new gameplay videos

Just watched the rest of it in HD. Remarkably bad-looking game. Horrible blur effect, absent shadows, lackluster animations... The quality of the textures in particular is absolutely abysmal. On the other hand... Horrid dialogs. Slapstick humor. Over-the-top violence. Lotsa, lotsa blood...

    5 new gameplay videos

The first video looked rather crappy. The sign above made me chuckle (a bit of a strong word for the actual reaction), but the rest of it.. Bland, repetitive, boring, uninspiring. The situation with recycled house models is even worse than I thought: (Click for full view.)

    Fallout 3 LGC: MTV Multiplayer

-Oh, gosh, goodness gracious, did I just accidentally shoot you in the chest with my nuclear catapult? I.. I don't know how it happened... I was aiming at that bird over there and... -Hey fuggeddaboutit. Could happen to anyone. You're buying that squirrel-on-a-stick or not? Bravo. Bravissimo.

    Guardian Fallout 3 interview

:violent: I can't come up with a sensible reply to this garbage. It speaks volumes (mostly about Hines' intelligence quotient) by itself. Hines seems to confuse role-playing (video) games with actual real-life role-playing found in such delusional undertakings as historical re-enactments and...

    Guardian Fallout 3 interview

I think it was mentioned in one of the previews that the interface looked exactly the same on both platforms. I bet you a lump of gold (just don't ask where I got it), same goes for every other aspect of the game, including character control and such. Well, maybe, just maybe, they'll remove the...

Guy on blog: let's be mean to Bethesda

I really can't argue with you on this. First, I loved The Vampire when I played it back in 2004, and, second, I don't really remember it that well. The video looks convincing, so I'll just take your word on this and have another try at the game when I get a chance.

    Bit-tech plays Fallout 3

You may consider Diablo to be a first-person spaceship simulator with elements of turn-based strategy, but today's formal (read, universally accepted) definition of Diablo's genre is Action RPG. In fact, Diablo's simplicity (point-and-click gameplay) was one of the most attractive qualities...

Guy on blog: let's be mean to Bethesda

You can apply this to any 2D vs 3D character discussion out there: 3D characters and especially 3D character animations were incomparably inferior to their 2D counterparts until very recently (~2003-2005). Those hexagon-shaped heads... bleh... I have nothing to say against Vampire (great...
