Greetings :)
This was posted on the Obsidian boards and several of us have come together to work on a project because of it.
It was posted on the Bethseda forums and now here. If anyone is interested, please send EnderWiggin a line.
His email is at the end of the announcement.
Because given the nature of Fallout's Combat, you NEED a view like that.
In many ways Fallout plays like say... Jagged Alliance 2... could you really have turn based, tactical combat with anything but "isometric"?
Except for the fact that this fan base is atypical.
We're not going to just buy something that's Fallout in name only.
If they don't give us what we want, they aren't going to be able to sell us on what they think they want.
And what the fan base wants from Fallout isn't something that...
Smartest thing they could do (in my humble opinion) is find out exactly what fallout is (by playing the games and reading the bible) and then asking the fans what they want... then factoring all that into their design decisions.
Exactly.
Given just how much coverage the death of VB got.... and how many people still follow/love/cherish Fallout 1/2... and since this is most likely the reason they got it (percieved sales)
You'd think they'd get a clue and realize they don't want to alienate that fanbase.
