Fallout Cascadia has not had an update? That is not good news. I decided to check out their twitter account and saw that their last post was almost a year ago. Maybe the project is on hold because of reasons so we can't say anything of its status for now, but if there is no news of progress...

I am rather behind on things as I want to do so many times at once and yet constantly keep doing other things.

Hey guys, do you still want me to do an update article or post on Ashes Hard Reset? It is rather old news by now.
  4. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

Games that are initially 'broken' and I am not talking about code or script but rather their design and the decisions the designers went with can not be fixed by mods. Modders think they can fill up the lack of content by adding more dungeons with monsters to kill and chests and corpses to loot...
  5. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

That is basically the reason why I bought Fallout 4; for the Fallout 1 TC and the Fallout New Vegas TC, if they ever get finished. I don't want to touch the vanilla game as it is just so damn average.
  6. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

Its not that interesting? I have occasionally considered in the past to get the game but I am not sure if I can invest the time in Elite to really unlock everything.
  7. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

No doubt about that one. People complain but they will be back when the first additional content packs are announced. And they will be hyping for the next Bethesda game again once it is announced. A lot of them talk about their disappointment with Starfield being a 'learning experience', but...
  8. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

It actually makes me want to play it again even though I found it a very linear experience. Such a shame how the sequels turned out. 2 was okay though flawed, but 3 is where things came apart. I have not heard about the guy in ages. What is he up to these days? I used to watch his older...
  9. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

True. Or people becoming cyborgs. The sci-fi idea pool has been rather over-recycled. Ugh, I forgot to mention that in my previous post but from its description it sounds like Bethesda has made Starfield the Seinfeld of games. True. I can see how this dismantles the mystery.
  10. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

I really like how you summarize each of these space sci-fi series (and movie) to their basic essentials @Mr Fish, kudos. I always tend to 'overwrite' these things so much, wanting to bring up elements and explain them when they should be something for the potential watcher to check out and not...
  11. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

Well the year ain't over yet. Still three more months to go.
  12. The Dutch Ghost

Fallout TV show coming 2024, featuring Vault 33 in Los Angeles

Well the Pip Boy was a Robco creation, not a Vault Tec one.
  13. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

I get you. It is easier to classify older games as clearly being RPGs than these modern day 'mutts' that are a hybrid of action games together with stat elements. Even Fallout New Vegas which I really like is also one of these mutts. A lot of modern day games that have the tag RPG are better...
  14. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

I think @R.Graves that this is how game studios have sold the genre to newcomers. Blame also lies with game publishers and game journalists.
  15. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

Under that definition the term RPG would have absolutely no meaning.
  16. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

The term RPG has been rather abused and become blurred over the years. I would probably classify Front Mission 3 as JSRPG though I don't know if the player gets to decide how characters improve their skills and specializations next to customizing the Wanzers. Fallout 4 barely qualifies as a RPG...
  17. The Dutch Ghost

Fallout TV show coming 2024, featuring Vault 33 in Los Angeles

I rather dislike how Vault Boy has become an mascot of everything within the Fallout setting when he was just suppose to be Vault Tec's mascot. Bethesda did not begin with it though, some of the concept art of FOBOS already showed that the designers wanted to overuse the character.
  18. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

That is another joke someone made. They should start screeching any moment now. When I looked at this picture a couple of minutes ago my thoughts were "Why do I have the feeling that they are going to demand to speak to my manager?" I occasionally liked some of the Mass Effect 1 random world...
  19. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

Someone joked on the RPG codex that a player must have made a white male character. Then I ask "In what way.". Starfield clearly uses same elements as NMS and Elite Dangerous now that the 'on foot' expansion is released, but in many ways it is more limited. Some people who played the game...
  20. The Dutch Ghost

    Starfield

Not that related but I was talking on the RPGcodex about space themed RPGs just set in our solar system or just on a single other planet. Many years ago I collected the old Buck Rogers in the XXVc rpg modules after I had discovered the PC game/Sega game and rather liked the setting from what I...
