What are some of your unpopular opinions?

Base Fallout 76 was Bethesda's best game. Appalachia is still Bethesda's best location, moreso than the Capital Wasteland.

What are some of your unpopular opinions?

Fallout 76's writing was unironically a lot better when it was a dead map with lore texts and Holotapes only. When NPCs started showing up with story expansions the writing quality went downhill. Also adding that annoying ass DJ to Appalachia Radio was one of the worst things ever.

Fauna, Flora, Factions, and Facilities of the Wasteland

Yes, I'm compiling it all into a single document that I'll post in a thread (most likely on the fanfic forum where these long lore writeups belong). I don't want to keep spamming this thread with overly long texts, so I'm keeping just summaries of a couple things here. The rest in full I have...

Fallout 3 Brotherhood Outcasts mod idea

Imo I don’t think it really works for the setting of Fallout 3. Energy cells are super rare, most people can’t even recharge or use them, and their value would be all over the place depending on how much juice they got left. Caps work because they’re simple and everyone agrees on what they’re...

Fallout 3 Brotherhood Outcasts mod idea

Scrip is a cool nod to Tactics, but I don’t think it really makes sense for the Outcasts. Scrip works when there’s a big, organized group behind it, like the NCR or the main cell of BOS, but the Outcasts are basically a handful of guys squatting in bunkers. Who’s gonna take their currency...

Fauna, Flora, Factions, and Facilities of the Wasteland

Memphis Before the Great War, Memphis was a hub of music, freight, and river trade, with the Mississippi serving as its lifeblood. By the 2060s, the city had become a key distribution center for military and industrial shipments, including West Tek “environmental chemicals” that were actually...

Fallout: Bakersfield (Fallout in DOOM engine)

Favorite was and always will be Cyclops. Read almost every X-Men comic up to 2020 with Hickman's era and Cyclops has been my GOAT. That new show X-Men 97 was amazing for Cyclops.

Fallout: Bakersfield (Fallout in DOOM engine)

I feel like this mod definitely proves you can “remake” Fallout 1 and 2 in 1st person while upholding the overall feel of the classics. I hope Bakersfield is the testbed for a much larger undertaking, because I’ve noticed on his DeviantArt page there’s a few more (what I assume to be) in-game...

Fauna, Flora, Factions, and Facilities of the Wasteland

New Orleans New Orleans was already a hollowed shell by 2077, its culture sold to corporations and its levees barely holding back the rising Gulf. When the bombs fell, nuclear strikes shattered its riverfront and oil depots, flooding the city and killing thousands. Decades later, survivors...

Fauna, Flora, Factions, and Facilities of the Wasteland

You're not far off. A wealthy merchant’s son drowned during a Mardi attack while traveling on one of their boats. The merchant, furious and influential in both Jackson and Baton Rouge, rallied other traders to boycott the Big Muddy, claiming negligence. The dispute was settled through a tense...

Fauna, Flora, Factions, and Facilities of the Wasteland

The Big Muddy Tradin’ Com’ny Before the bombs, the Mississippi was the beating heart of the South, carrying everything from oil to culture. By the 2070s, it was more industrial machine than river, lined with levees, dams, and corporate ports. The Resource Wars only made it worse, turning it into...

Fauna, Flora, Factions, and Facilities of the Wasteland

△ Vault 49 △ Just outside Lafayette, Louisiana, Vault 49 was pitched as a sanctuary for southern families, promising to preserve patriotism and pre-war American values. In truth, it was an ideological pressure cooker. Vault-Tec and federal intelligence designed it to test how a closed society...

    Fallout: London

To be very blunt and honest, not good at all by Fallout "standards." If I judge it by the same standards I hold games like Fallout 4 and 76 accountable for, then by all means it's about on par with them. You get a lot of the same things: Skeletons from the Great War still propped up in places...

    Fallout: Capitol Hell - EXCERPT

Thank you, the Ghoul addition was one I'm quite proud of because it was a challenge to incorporate a well known post-war race while also maintaining the Vault origin. Not just any Vault origin mind you, because ghoul Vaults have been done before (Necropolis), but a Vault intentionally sealed on...

    Fallout: Capitol Hell - EXCERPT

Hell yeah, lay it on me! I still have Fallout 4 and 76 to go after this worldbook, so anything counts.

    Fallout: Capitol Hell - EXCERPT

Thanks! I've been working over my Fallout 3 rewrite for almost 3-4 years now, slowly, but it's close to completion. Then I'm gonna do Fallout 4. Would love some feedback on things, I know Yossarian already corrected some mistakes in my Mutant Manual I'll be fixing soon
