    Todd Howard questionnaire at Next-Gen

The Dark Brotherhood and the Theives Guild weren't the only high points, for me. While I did find the side quests more enjoyable than the main story, it was much more than simply those 2 guilds, for me and since the side quests were considerabley more content than the main story, then it doesn't...

    Todd Howard questionnaire at Next-Gen

I would be fine with that too. However, since they are calling it Fallout isn't going to make me enjoy it any more, or less, than I would otherwise. Someone else, other than "who" exactly? If there is another option out there, where somebody wanted to get the original Fallout team...

    Todd Howard questionnaire at Next-Gen

So, my opinion is going to be wildly unpopular, but fuck it. I tried playing Morrowind about a year ago. It was tedious and boring and I couldn't get past 3 hours with the game. I had absolutely no interest in Oblivion, Betheseda or any future Elder Scrolls project after that point. But...

Fallout fans aren't the only fans getting screwed

Not just a team based FPS... An online-only, team based, capture the flag, FPS. There is less than zero RPG elements. No story mode, No single player (the only single player mode is just bots put into your map), just mindless combat. Oh yeah and that's not to mention that they went back...

Fallout repeats last year's E3 showing

No Mutants Allowed is a Fallout Website? Crap, and here I thought it was just a place for me to vent about the mutants I work with.

Fallout 3 mentioned by Pete Hines

No, first person isn't a technology. But he WAS talking about the perspesctive in that answer.. Again, this was the question asked, to which he answered that they would be using the technology they are developing. Is he talking about the perspective or the "technology". If he was...

Fallout 3 mentioned by Pete Hines

Just making educated guesses based on the comments they've made like these You can make pretty solid assumptions based on these types of quotes. They want to do Fallout the same way they've been doing Morrowind/Oblivion. Yes, the quotes leave it "open" for interpretation, if you like, but...

Fallout 3 mentioned by Pete Hines

Nah, console's didn't kill PC RPGs and console's have been "trendy" since NES days. MMORPGs killed PC RPGs. Blame Ultima Online, which game out around the same time as Fallout, for that one.

It's pretty much a standard rule of life... ...The harder somebody is trying to "sell" you an idea, the more that idea is bullshit.

    Dissapointing news for Shadowrun fans

I was happy to potentially have a new Shadowrun game out in the future when I heard that Microsoft aqquired the rights to the liscense. There still has been very little info on it, until I stumbled on this little tidbit... http://rpgvault.ign.com/articles/634/634639p1.html :x

    Sid Meyer's pirates!

Sid Meier's Pirates I picked it up today. I probably won't have time to try it out much until Friday. Any thoughts from those who have played it?

CRPG's that need to be played

Very linear, but I really enjoyed Betrayal at Krondor as far as story goes. Both Return to Krondor and Betrayal at Antara were HORRIBLE though. Also loved Autoduel back in the day, along with the old school Text Box/6 player party games like Wizardry, Might and Magic, Bard's Tale, etc..

    Troika article

You know, I am personally sad to see Troika go. They definately had a lot of great ideas and a passion for the kind of games I wanted to play. But, I'm not suprised that Vampire didn't sell well, comparatively. And really, I suppose I am not that suprised that they went under. I bought...

Is there any hope for CRPGs in the near future?

Well, if you could get away with producing a good game for 30,000 dollars then I'm sure you would make money. But 30,000 is far, far below the price it would cost for what I was talking about. No, you would need to actually fork out a ton of dough to employ enough skilled people to do a game...

Is there any hope for CRPGs in the near future?

To be blunt, yes, I think most people are just dumbasses. It shouldn't be a big shock, really. The more intellegent movies, that provoke or require thought, also don't do as well as others either(at least, here in America). The "Blockbuster" movies are generally not as good, in terms of...

Is there any hope for CRPGs in the near future?

What was once a staple of PC gaming has become pretty much non-existant. Black Isle was sent packing....Troika is being forced to go in another direction.... Development cycles for RPGs are being expected to be so quick that they are rushed out and nearly unplayable half the time, as it...
