    Gaming's Fringe Cults

I have to agree with this bit. I've made attempts in the past to make rational, intelligent contributions to these forums but the atmosphere in here is more often than not too arrogant, hostile, and filled with rampaging 18-24 year-old testosterone to ever make me want to stick around. In...

    Ashley Cheng: nobody's talking

Re: Actually... Already the veins in my head swell. The set up: "See guys, I'm not a console kid but in fact am an old-time computer RPG fan. I've played them for years. So don't just dismiss me as a moron AKA Oblivion fanboy, OK?" A preliminary demonstration of his ignorance of the...

Man, I'm so sick of this RETARDED line of reasoning that comes out of the mouth of every Bethboy around. You would think 1997 was 1977 and FO1 was coded on an Atari VCS. Cartoonish because of technology limitations my ass. It was artistic intent. Blah blah blah. Yes, it will be a great game...

If the game didn't have the Fallout name, I'd actually be looking forward to it as a potentially pleasant diversion. I like post-apoc stuff in general and I like Doom variety stuff as well (fighting demons, hell gates, all that jazz). The thing that is so painful is that I'm looking at this...

This is an entirely subjective statement and one I can't agree with. The combat system of the original Fallouts is half the reason I've replayed them so many times. I'd have loved to see the same exact TB system used in FO3 but with better enemy and party AI. That would have been perfect for me.

This is major shit for me. I know to most people on here (as I'm guessing most of you are late teens/early twenties) this is the least of your concerns, but I'm in my 30s and I really, really don't want to play a game as a 19 year-old vault dweller, especially one who is off looking for "dad"...

I don't like the fact that the storyline is locked so that you're playing a 19 year-old looking for his dad. That's so gay. 19? How are older gamers supposed to relate to playing a teenager? At least the original games let you pick your age, or I should say gave you a range from 16 - 35 if I'm...
