Everything is possible with dedicated people around... Even those death effects can be done in 3d and then edited by the hand in 2d. Anyway there needs to be a change in how the critters models are done, because by current manual work it is impossible to develop new ones. I think it does not...

This could be the answer. Anyway i believe it will be next to impossible to make the exact same clone of player (default male+female) models. Maybe I'm just pessimistic and i hope I'm wrong on this but i don't think it will be easy to use this on current player models.

Yes its insane work, but there are some half-done skins like supermutants. Only thing whats missing is running animation which would not look ridiculous. They can use all two handed big and energy weapons, maybe some HtH weapons would be good for them too but things like small guns or energy...

Yea, but you have to create new account for 2238 (2obt wont work imho) and i think client has to be updated too for both 2238 or Life After. Anyway dev blog or oficial web does not say a word about release yet.
