I just mean people on win 7/vista have been having problems when installing into c:/program files/ so avoid using that which is the default installation path for fallout2.

Are you installing RP over the patch? Try a fresh install without any patches. And also if you're on win 7 of vista, don't use the default installation folder. Use something like c:/fallout2

But have you tried looking at the brand AFTER having saved the brahmin? Not saying that it shouldn't register if you look at them before hand, but that might be the way it is at the moment.

If you have patch0000.dat in your fallout directory delete it. You're not suppose to apply any extra patches before installing RP, but it shouldn't really affect anything as long as you followed directions and haven't installed any patches over it.

Check and make sure your savegame folder is in your data folder. No idea why it would have moved if all you did was apply a patch. Either you did something wrong, or your save's got corrupted somehow. Not like you're even an eigth of the way through the game. No reason to get all pissy and quit...

Never been on a mac, don't know how the file system is set up, but you might try the manual installer. Though it is a winrar archive, so not sure if you can open those on a mac.

Yeah I had restarted a few times at the time and it would do the same thing. Now when I try though it works fine. Maybe it was inadvertly fixed in one of the updates.
