Main Quest Point of No Return?

I went to the Fort after taking out House, and Yes Man wanted me to do the first as well.

    damn crash......

Surprisingly (for Obsidian+Beth) throughout my entire first gameplay, I only had about 3-4 random crashes (from playing too long, likely), and 2 consistent ones: first from buying too many caravan cards, second in Thorn.

    Best companion equipment?

Marksman Carbine/All-American with dirt-cheap surplus ammo for Cass. Later Sniper/Gobi rifle for her or Boone. Sniper Rifle, with its ridiculous critical multiplier and, IMO, the best hand-made ammo (JSP), is simply the best weapon, even at close range. Well, with cowboy, Brush Rifle may be...

    Centurions *ending spoilers*

The centurions on Hoover Dam seem to have some sort of bullet evasion. I have tried shooting their heads in VATS many times with 95% indicated accuracy (using up all my AP on a single centurion), and most often, not a single shot hit. I tried this in different places, with different distances...

    12.7mm Ammo?

I met Cantreras very late, and at the moment he had about 1400 12.7mm rounds for sale.

I think (or rather, hope), you will get that 0.5 SP compensated every second level...

GameBanshee Fallout: New Vegas subsite launched

All stats affect some skills. All stats, except intellect, have some direct effect on combat (charisma - through your companions). All stats, except intellect, have some good perks, associated with them, requiring them to be above 5. So the SP rate is the only thing requiring high INT, and it...

It was overpowered, indeed. But does it really mean, that now it should be underpowered?

GameBanshee Fallout: New Vegas subsite launched

Good, that rising intelligence above 5 is worse then rising any other stat? Should have made the SP progression 5+int...

It's 10+Int/2 skill points, so int 4 gives only 3 less skill points then maximum.

GameBanshee Fallout: New Vegas subsite launched

Intelligence seems quite useless... 4 is required for Comprehension and Educated (and non-Dumb dialogue). 5 if you want Retention or Pack Rat. (Well, Computer Whiz requires 7, but it was, and likely will be, useless.) So, with the low dependence of skill points on intelligence, I don't see...

Fallout: New Vegas game guide blog #4

That was my first thought as well, but it's on the right hand - probably some kind of power fist. EDIT: Late...

    Weird/Stupid fears on gaming?

I must say, I am unnaturally scared in almost all FPS (and their like) by the monsters attacking in melee. They are generally quite damaging, if they can get to you, and are often quick... That's one of the reasons why I liked SW: Republic Commando - there you are about as powerful in melee, as...

what is your favorite game dialogue voice overs?

My favorite is the main voice from WarHammer 40k: DoW and it's add-ons (Soulstorm's main voice was not so good... as well as the game itself). Also liked Barnacky's voice from Tactics very much. In KotOR 1&2 liked the voices of HK and Kreia. Also, of course, renegade Shepard from ME 1&2.

Dragon Age II: now more like Mass Effect 2

A single background sure is disappointing, still, that can make a good story as well. And the story in ME-s was very good IMO. That "more dynamic combat" thing is more troubling, but it's too early to say anything. They could mean any number of changes by such a statement, including, only a...

Fallout Tactics... What's wrong with it?

My tactic there was to crawl through the trenches in sneak mode, get two characters with SAW's into firing positions with at least 67% to-hit, then fire. Against muties with .50-cal MGs I tried to use 3+ characters. Also the important thing is to shoot from a different trench (so, if they knock...

Fallout Tactics... What's wrong with it?

Yes, that was perhaps my favorite mission in Tactics. Although I never used the APC there. For me it was all-out SAW (The extra xp for hardcore mode allowed all squad-members to get enough skill points in big guns... also, if I'm not mistaken, I got Fast Shot for everyone in that mission).

Fallout Tactics... What's wrong with it?

Indeed. I like the shotguns and burst weapons in Tactics way more than in Fallout 1&2.
