The writing is beyond abysmal and the first hint of this is the introduction

2008: "I'm looking for my dad. He's middle-aged. Have you seen him?" 2015: "A man, a woman, and an infant. You're on the list." (Also I'm not going to rush down to the vault in a panic like a real human would, but that's beside the point.)

Good points all around, but my God, Stanislao - that video gave me ADD.

Multiplayer:Killing us slowly or best thing ever?

Ultima Online came pretty close to this since you could interact with nearly every item in the world. I used to create roleplaying sagas for my guild and pulled off some pretty creative events. Didn't NWN1 have some kind of dynamic DM system, or am I thinking of something else?

    The Halo thread

This. Also, it was the frat boy's choice of game ("Durr...I'm a n3Rd cuz i play halo") when I was in college, so I've never been interested in it. Edit: Baby seal? Eh?

    FO3/NV way too easy?

Agreed. If you have to gimp yourself to encounter any semblance of difficulty, that's just bad design. So I finally checked out Project Nevada - my configuration boosts enemy health and makes crippling limbs valuable. It's not perfect, but it's a step in the right direction.

    FO3/NV way too easy?

Here's the modder's website: http://xfo-nv.com/ Sadly, it hasn't been updated in a long time.

Are there any balance mods that don't add new weapons or modify existing ones?

    Lonesome Road Talk (obviously spoilers)

Yeah, it's funny how House and Yes Man to a lesser extent encourage you to be on good terms with NCR, yet due to the massive amount of NCR quests, it's very difficult to be aligned with them. Alternatively, here's a mod that determines your allegiance based on your progression in the main...

    The Untapped Wastes...

There's already one called Beyond the Borders. I haven't tested it out yet, but could be promising if it doesn't break lore.

    97) After breaking out of prison, the rational choice is to keep wearing prisoner garb. 98) Wearing a radiation suit mitigates radiation in your digestive system.

    Lonesome Road Talk (obviously spoilers)

Nice find. I found that this song (Shelter by Corrosion of Comformity) fits well between Ulysses and the Courier: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bAG9otcaSWw I'll shut up about the Yes Man issue once and for all, but here's some console commands to make the process easier: (Assuming you...

    Lonesome Road Talk (obviously spoilers)

Nice - thanks for the info. I've decided to start LR fresh from a previous save to make sure I get the dialogue/duster I want. Edit: Apparently it's extremely difficult to get the Yes Man duster and dialogue options due to how the game checks priority. Ongoing information can be found on...

    Lonesome Road Talk (obviously spoilers)

Just checked my save before the confrontation - I have tapes y.17.15 and y.17.21 and there's no tapes dialogue.

Elite Riot Armor, Joshua's or Armor of the 87th Tribe?

While point 2) is true, because LR is plentiful with medium-type armor, I find the riot gear to be the best choice.

Things we learned from New Vegas

Right and it's the double standard that is so irritating, especially in a series like Fallout. Turning Veronica into companion a l'orange is fine, but enjoying a smoke after a hard day of gecko skinnin' is somehow taboo.
