I find a certain YouTuber very cancerous.

@Millim Noah's work is usually really in depth and on the long side, like up to and over an hour long, but I highly recommend his work. He has some good Fallout videos on his channel as well, and I think he brings an old-school perspective without mindlessly blasting Bethesda like some have a...

I find a certain YouTuber very cancerous.

I'm personally a big fan of guys like Noah Caldwell-Gervais and Super Bunnyhop, so I tend to skew towards more considered, intelligent productions. I discovered Matty whilst digging up Fallout 4 info up to the release and promptly stopped in my tracks. He is immature and offers no insight, so I...

The 'MrMattyPlays' Fallout 4 Review "A Near Perfect Game"

I do when they're just dumb. Like a Radscorpion shooting a thousand feet into the air. Though, this series has been buggy from the word go. It's almost a back of the box feature, especially under Bethesda's care.

Why are so many people buying this game?

Please...don't scare me like that. Oh fuck no.

Obsidian has already proven they could do wonders with the Fallout 4 dialogue system

It's probably the unprecedented nature of the idea. Obsidian's work on NV felt like a weird hiccup in Zenimax's machinery; an aberration. It just feels unlikely because Bethesda just kinda...does things. It would be an incredible business decision to do so-especially as TES VI is years and years...

Obsidian has already proven they could do wonders with the Fallout 4 dialogue system

Hopefully not many, but who knows. I'd like to see Obsidian take a crack at the voiced protagonist bit-they could make that really shine, I think. Well, hopefully better choice of VA. Mike Thorton was a bit...dry? lol

The 'MrMattyPlays' Fallout 4 Review "A Near Perfect Game"

I find that I've had moments where it competes. I find the general beat of combat to be challenging and fun. It's not half as polished as Far Cry's is, (Or even a fraction as daring) but the brutality of the encounters tests my mettle in fun ways. Different strokes for different folks.

Why are so many people buying this game?

I always thought Todd Howard sounded like an idiotic fucking twelve year-old even before Fallout 3. And I've always liked Bethesda games. He just seems like an overbearing, empty-headed manchild to me. Like the Michael Bay of game development.

    BUZZ LIGHTYEAR POWER ARMOR !!!

That Buzz Lightyear mentality does fit, given the organization, I suppose. He actually sounded a bit like a demented Tim Allen. I won't lie, I really enjoy the Brotherhood in this game. Delusional and xenophobic, just like the monstrous crusaders of the apocalypse I imagined when they blew my...

Super Bunnyhop explains the value of having a Fallout 4 spin-off

I love Bunnyhop's videos and this one I agree with. To an extent. More New Vegas's and Tactics games would be a blessing, I think. Just less smartphone garbage and more substantial software would be appreciated. Don't Fallout Shelter it.

Why are so many people buying this game?

I can only speak for myself when it comes to why someone would purchase it. Simple, I've enjoyed all previous entries outside of BOS and don't mind Action RPGs. I enjoy a wide range of games. And I prefer Fallout 4 to many of its contemporaries except perhaps split screen Borderlands at the...

The 'MrMattyPlays' Fallout 4 Review "A Near Perfect Game"

Personally, I am rather enjoying the game. I consider it a marked improvement over their previous attempt, mainly in that it feels more confident, if not well written. Essentially, it feels more like their game, rather than a tired trotting out of Black Isle's work. In that sense, I respect the...

Obsidian has already proven they could do wonders with the Fallout 4 dialogue system

Alpha Protocol is actually one of my favorite games, warts and all. And it has more than most. Though, frankly, I just want to see Obsidian play with the toys in FO4's box. New Vegas with decent shooting and a *slightly* more competent framework would be wonderful. I want it more than anything...

Perhaps good news for Battletech fans

I hope so. Shadowrun Returns was pretty cool, if a bit lacking before Dragonfall came out. I hope the nuance of Battletech is kept intact. My fiance, his dad and I all still regularly play the tabletop so it would be awesome to have a good video game adaptation to make campaigns in. (Assuming...

Perhaps good news for Battletech fans

Okay, this had better happen. I've been crowing about a real Battletech game forever now. As long as I get my Timber Wolf I'm happy.

General Gaming Megathread: What are you playing?

Finally getting around to Firaxis' XCOM Enemy Within. Played the original X-Com from '94 years ago. I'm not a big strategy guy, the only ones I play frequently are Front Mission and Total War but this one is pretty great thus far. It hits all the right notes for me atmospherically because I love...

    Fallout Anthology announced for PC

The less people who experience it, the better. I went well out of my way to do so...I've regretted it ever since.

    Fallout Anthology announced for PC

I like it. It's not as if the series has always gotten premium treatment and I never had any original boxes for Fallout 1, 2 or Tactics. Plus the mininuke would look kickass on my shelf with my Katana, dragon and Vaultboy.

    Wasteland 2: Director's cut

I'm just happy I'll be able to finally play it. My computer is a shit show of a machine. Though playing a game like Wasteland on a console will be...Interesting. The closest thing to a classic Computer RPG I've played on consoles is probably Dragon Age Origins and that's a different beast...

    Opinions on Fallout 4?

I think if Bethesda directly developed Doom I'd jump out a window.
