How many content creators have we here?

Has anybody on here made their own games? I'm just starting to play around with Unity.

So why do Bethesda fans responsd harshely to critism of their games?

Entertainment is a zero-sum game. Consumers have a finite amount of money to spend on games, so companies have a finite amount of money with which to produce games. (This applies to movies, TV, and music as well.) If other people like the same things you like, it increases the chances that...

Which states or cities would make good locations for a future Fallout game

I'd like to see Buffalo, New York in a Fallout Game. My grandparents live there. I haven't visited in forever, but I can remember some cool stuff from when I was a kid. It's situated on a strip of land between two great lakes and at the head of the Niagra river. It's across from Fort Erie in...

Anyone else tired of the old factions?

I'd like to see karma stick around as a measure of how much the wasteland likes you overall, but not necessarily as a thing that opens up or closes off connections with factions or potential companions or anything. What I'd really like to see is a screen that gives you a break down of how much...

Anyone else tired of the old factions?

Granted, I haven't read through all the bibles. I didn't realize that was the same guy in Jacobstown. Huh.

Anyone else tired of the old factions?

There's an NCR scientist in Fallout 2 that gives you a cyber-dog, but it kinda sucks if I recall correctly. I don't think it's as good as the one you steal from the Enclave.

Anyone else tired of the old factions?

Didn't NCR have a scientist who could make cyber-dogs? Is that canon? Could officers get cyber-horses? ...Naw, not on the NCR's budget. :/ I bet the NCR would have the experts and the know-how to make things like that but not the public funds or the stable infrastructures to mass-produce them.

Anyone else tired of the old factions?

Didn't stop the VietCong. They used bicycles. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Viet_Cong_and_Vietnam_People's_Army_logistics_and_equipment True, you can't shoot while you are on a bike. That's why you use them as part of a convoy.

Anyone else tired of the old factions?

Why doesn't anybody use bicycles in the post-apocalyptic future? ...And a Canticle for Leibowitz.

Anyone else tired of the old factions?

I've been writing out ideas for a Fallout-themed tabletop game I want to run using the BRP rules set. One of my factions, called the Myrmidons by others, owes its livelihood to the subterranean ecologies of mutated insects. They don't control the bugs like that... AntAgonizer character from...

Anyone else tired of the old factions?

You know what I want to see as a faction? Some sort of faceless, dystopian, mega-corporation. It's been centuries since the bombs fell. Let's see industry return and wreck shit.

    Ability to have more companions

I would balance out more powerful companions like super-mutants and robots by having them take up multiple companion slots. For example: "Butt", the player character, has a charisma of 8 granting him 4 companion slots. Sixty-Four, the feral-child raised by robots, is a 'normal' human companion...

    Create your own Fallout nation!

Meh. I'll bite. Faction Name: The Colony Leader: Major Tom (a lost astronaut ghoulified by cosmic radiation) Location: A half-finished Enclave base on the moon. Ideology: To bring more ghouls to the moon and expand their nation across the lunar surface Religion: The faith of the newly arrived...

Was leather armor from FO1&FO2 American Football gear?

Well, a lot of the costumes from Max Max II: The Road Warrior were made from sports equipment.

    How Karma should work

I'd like to see karma shift from good/evil to law/chaos. I can see two different ways to go about this: 1) Your alignment shifts toward law when you act to reconstruct and advance society. Your alignment shifts toward chaos when you act to bring about the dissolution of society. Restoring...

    How to take Metzger out?

I just drew him and his crew out and kited them into a conflict with Lara's gang to weaken them, then I picked off the survivors.

    Location +Factions Idea

I play a lot of table-top games so I'm gonna use this for an upcoming campaign or one shot in the Fallout setting (I'm not sure what system I'll use). I thought I'd run it by you guys just for giggles. I think it would be a cool kind of place to see in a Fallout game. The location is an...

How old will you be on October 23, 2077?

91, and that's when the fun really begins. I live in Korea where old people get to do anything they want. I'm going to live out my dream of pissing on a robot while the young people bow and accept their place in the Confucian hierarchy.

    Scariest Fallout critter

Super Mutants. Okay, so I'm going to admit that FO3 was my first exposure to the series. Deathclaws didn't scare me that much in that game; my first encounter with one of those was seeing one through my sniper scope chasing a wastelander through an old barn at night. With the old dudes...
