Okay.

We have all seen Malena. We have all realized that it is basically a kind of semi-Fellini, that just makes you upset that he died and guilty that you do not have as many Fellini movies as you should on DVD.

However, for us Anglos, we did not see the entire movie. There was 12 min. of extra nudity, and all of it *important*.

Forumites of NMA, Orderites and other people obsessed with Monica Bellucci.......we must find this missing footage!

Say what? We have not *ALL* seen Malena.

but if it has nudity in it i'm going to have to.

Seriously, CCR, stop making calims like "we have all seen malena". I don't even know what it's about!

Yeah - what the Korea is 'Malena'? If I cared, I would have gotten upset for you spoiling it.

Are you saying Malena isn't some sort of common obsession?..
Well, thats a relief. I was getting afraid I was missing out on something.

Ignorants. ;)

Malena is probably one of the best movies I've seen in the last two years. Won't flap my jaw about the plot, just watch it, the movie is worth yur money.

CC, you must specify *which* nudity scenes. There were a couple of them that could be censored by the Spanish Inquis.. um, for the American public.

In any case, you could try to purchase an "european" version without the Censor's guest appeareance.

Okay, so that's 2 out of 8 people in this thread that have seen, or heard, of this movie....

What is it?

And who the hell is Fellini?

I think you mean fellatio? Its a way of bundling newspapers so that the recycling guy can pick them up easily.

And can someone link us censored Americans something about this movie? CC, I'm looking at you.

Apparently the ones in Malena are better then nude scenes....we are talking stuff that would make Susan Surandon in Atlantic City, or Shannon Elizabeth in anything blush.

You must be kidding, right? Fellini is like... God.

And "Malena" was awesome. It wasn't censored over here, I think. I saw lots of... flesh.

Is "The Passion of Christ" in the lines of "Last temptation of Christ"? Cause the "Temptation..." even though polemic and criticized when released, was indeed with a deep christian moral. (If you disagree I can tell you why I think so, in a few lines)

TEMPTATION WAS THE WORST MOVIE EVER CONCIVED. I HOPE SCORSESE IS REMEMBERD AS MUCH FOR THAT AS FOR TAXI DRIVER, HERECTICAL BITCH!

EDIT: Herectical bitch was aimed at Scorsese.

CHRISTIAN? FUCKING CHRISTAIN? DO YOU EVEN KNOW WHAT CHRIST MEANS? HOW THE FUCK IS AN ENDING WITH JESUS AND MAGDALINE FUCKING EACHOTHER A CHRISTIAN ENDING! GOD, PLEASE, ALL I AM ASKING FOR IS 1 MORE FUCKING CRUSADE!

CC, I will ignore your insults for now.

Keep in mind that I am from a very catholic family: the brother of my grandmother was an archbishop, and I have an aunt and a cousin who are nums.

Now as for the movie: have you watched the whole movie, really? its "The Last Temptation of Christ." Christ is at the cross, in Golgota, and the Enemy tempts him by offering him a glimpse of what his life could have been. Christ could have chosen a different path, could have had sex and had a more mundane life, BUT in the end, he CHOSE NOT TO. IN the end, he chooses to finish his task as he should, giving his life at the cross and redeeming humanity. You see now? The enemy tempts him, as he tepmted before, at the desert, and once again, Christ does not give in into temptation.
THAT is the message of the movie. To have faith in Lord, to do what must be done instead of following impulses and falling into sin. Yes, Christ was tempted, he became flesh exactly to feel what is it like to be human - BUT he did not give in in to temptation.
Is it Christian or what? :)
