I don't know how well this has been covered by the media overseas, but it's been everywhere here.
Was anyone else aware of this? I know the guy was on the american "Most Wanted" list for a while (well, according to the news on ITV), but I'm wondering whether it's actually been followed by the US news.
There have also been calls to extradite him to Florida for involvement in (two?) murders there, but that can't go ahead because we don't extradite to states with the death penalty.
He's tried to make a mockery of the court by concocting a story about an "American friend" committing the murder, but that's not the worst part.
