Deadly Radiation.......

I have a character with perfect stats.. and i spent a LOT of times to build his stats, level, etc...

Until someday... the character was affected by "radiation".. while i dont care of it.. until my character is glowing with green lights around him...

The stats like Strength, Endurance, etc.. are reduced..
Peoples around him are affected too.. while i cannot find any items to cure that damned radiation on the current level..

Then, once i beat the level..

i try to go back to the bunker to get some medicine to cure that radiation.. but after they have arrived on the bunker, they all dead...

I load the game again and try to find random encounter on the way, so i can heal my characters so they will have enough HP to reach bunker...

When i arrived on the bunker safely.. i buy the medicine called "Rad Away".. i use it to heal everyone... but it has no effect !! the medicine description said that it took a while to cure... but i wait forever.. and it seems useless.. i cant get any more "Rad-Away" on the bunker..

Anyone know the solution please reply my message..



Also, i have some questions since im new fallout gamer :

1.The stats are reduced after the character are radiated, is
that permanent ? can i heal them back ? with what ? If i cant heal them back, then i will uninstall this game, and try another game... since my last savegame are on "mission 1"...it really waste my effort and broke my will..My character strength is 10... when he is radiated.. the strength stat turn red to 8 !!... after i heal him with rad-away, the strength points is 9 !!!! no red.. just plain 9 ! what the ?


2.On the character status screen... on the skill list.. i saw "Red colored" numbers or "Blue colored" numbers.. what is that red or blue color mean ? what makes them changed ? Can i heal them back ?

Rad-away, as you said, takes time to work but just standing their doesn't allow for time to elapse quickly. Take a stroll through the wasteland. At least you'll have something to do when getting rid of the radiation.
Getting more rad drugs in the bunker might be found with the quarter master (sometimes he has them) and Kerr the merchant. Also going back to previous bunkers might be worth doing because the medical officer will be replaced by another one who might have some. Always keep every rad drug with you. Your medic is good for carrying this stuff. I always have my medic carry all the drugs i find.
Normally, when you get radiated and you take anti-rad drugs, stats should go back to their original state and not in the red anymore. You may be dealing with a bug here. Look if your charater has a condition like winded or something similar. This might also explain the stat loss. But as i said it could just be a bug.
Red colours means that due to some stance or a certain armour the skill is reduced. For instance when you are prone, melee gets lowered and can become in minuses. To get this back to normal just stand up. Armour reduces skills sometimes to. Most notable is the sneak skill. When you put any armour above leather on your sneak skill gets reduced by a certain amount. The only way to get it back up is to remove the armour and put leather back on but that is not a good option. Other armours may reduce other skills as well, like lockpick or first aid and doc.
Doesn't bleu colours mean that those are your tagged skills ?
Basically red means that due to something (stance, armour, maybe others) your skill gets decreased and blue means that it gets increased.

Its clear for me now..

So, if my character strength is 10... then he is affected 10 times of radiation effect sometime.. (affected, cure, affected, cure, continuosly) then his strength will go down to 1 or something ?

Is there any items or medicine to increase stats later in the game ? even if it just increase 1 point... i just get "Elixir of Life".. but it increase.. endurance.. sigh..
