Need Electical Lockpick

Hey, I just got this game (Fallout) and I found the military up north, but I need an electrical lockpick to pick the lock! I've killed the guards, I've told the Brotherhood to "wait for more information" (or something) but now I need an electrical lockpick. where can I find/buy one?

Oh and BTW: I killed the Circle of Thieves some time ago, so they are out of the question.

RE: Need Electical Lockpick

I would just like you to know your screwed, sorry.

Did you at all search the bodies of the mutti you killed?

PS: Please don't tell him how to get in. I want him to figure this out on his own.

RE: Need Electical Lockpick

Of the mutants guarding the base? Well, I checked em. But I can't remember seeing a Electrical Lockpick.

RE: Need Electical Lockpick

Um...you don't need an electronic lock pick to get in. You just need the password. One of the super mutants knew the password (it's too bad you killed them all ;-)). You know how stupid the muties can be at times (ie. Harry in Necropolis), so he probably wrote it down somewhere in case he forgets.

RE: Need Electical Lockpick

Well, I checked all the items, and there weren't any note anywhere. You can't get into the Guard Shack, and the radio is just stupid all along. BTW. It wasn't the mutant at the gate, was it? If so, I am REALLY screwed.

RE: Need Electical Lockpick

Also you can get inducted into the thieves guild and as a reward you get free electronic lockpicks.

RE: Need Electical Lockpick

Oops!!!!!! didn't read the part where you wasted the thieves....sorry

RE: Need Electical Lockpick

You can find another electronic lockpick in the Cathedral.

RE: Need Electical Lockpick

Way to go jansen. Screw me out of my fun. Now Ned will leave here thinking he can rely on the board. He won't beat the game. We will beat the game for him. We need to make the people think to get rid of stupidity. they'll just ask you how to do something. You'll tell them how. They'll go do it and take the credit for comming up with the idea. Even though you thought of it, and you did it first. But who's going to know. Idiots thrive off of the work of smart people. Since we can't kill the idiots, we must find a less violant solution. Violance is still an option. Most have taken to forcing them to think.

Isn't the the Electrical lockpick in the vault? If he can't even get in the Military Base, what makes you think he will sneek into the Cathedral? Seeing how he has been playing the game he probably blew up the Cathedral, accedenaly left his friend behind, and dropped his loot in a random encounter.
(No offense ment:))

Hoping ned will still try my way, have you ever taken a AOL CD and writen stuff on the shiny with a pointy rock?

RE: Need Electical Lockpick

Yeah, actually I found a holodisk. I'll check it out.

Oh and another question, how in the name of jupiters balls do you use Holodisks with the PipBoy?

[font size=1" color="#FF0000]LAST EDITED ON Dec-28-01 AT 05:57AM (GMT)[p]Uh, what the.... Hold on here fella. The only thing that i did was say that another one exists and pointed out where he could look for it. Didn't say it's in the vault or not and iirc, it's not. I certainly didn't finish the game for him. And we ARE here to help people, you know.
I hope you didn't do what it looks like you did. Seems like a troll.

RE: Need Electical Lockpick

I'd have to go with Jansen. I'm only new here, but I'm under the impression that these message boards were created so experienced players could help newbies with their problems...

I beat the game by myself...but I'll freely admit that I didn't do about 1/3 or 1/2 of the side quests...which really make the game more fun and more interesting...Most of these quests are fairly simple...but some are rather confusing, jumping to NPCs that you normally wouldn't think much about...and I wouldn't have been able to complete some of these quests without help...

Now, I'd have to say that Fallout 1 has got to be one of the most interesting games around, even 4 years later...and when combined with Fallout 2, it's definetly a world in itself. I doubt that one person giving another advice on how to progress and explore this world more could possibly ruin it for them.

Somone knows someplace to buy an electronic lockpick in Fallout 1 or obtain one in another way than doing the mission for the thiefes guild in the hub ?

I think there are two more, one each in the last two areas of the game.
