Fallout 2 - SA-mod feedback

I made this thread for those that allredy downloaded and tryed my mod so i can get some feedback.

just tell me if you like the mod and if u think i should change/add something that would make you like the mod more.

ps:
if mod gets good feedback i will uppdate some stuff on it. things like npc town with npcs that can join you. it will be just one npc called Merc but you will be able to reenter that town over and over again and hire several of them. upp to 5 if your karizma is high enough. and the armor aperence will change when you change their armors so you can go around with 5 npcs with power armors or with leather jackets or what ever armor u like/can afford.
 
Just a suggestion, dont limit uopdates to the feedback.

Try to make it as good as you can, and fix any errors when you spot them (or at least compile a list of erros to fix, and add to it with errors that people add in.)
 
the mod isnt beta version. its finished mod and tested for a long time. if i make uppdates its gonna be like entire new mod and it will totaly change the game play from what it is now. its gonna be more like 2.0 version. thats why i need feedback on this one. coz if poeple dont like these kind of mods than why would i make another one?
 
i wanted to tell that this mod isnt to fun for people that have problems with the travel speed, like me. Its not your fault or anything but it takes the dangerous wasteland out if the mod.

that really should not be the problem. hance mod is not about taking your self from place to place, its about hunting stuff in wasteland and collecting trash and lvling upp.
 
omg i didnt think anyone would play it for 13 years. :shock: it was ment as time waster. well than i guess it needs tweaked engine file. anyone that menaged to tweak it? :roll:
 
The 13 years can pass quite quickly depending on how fast you PC is. The encounter rate is practically nil on mine, I can go from one corner of the map to the other and still have only 1 or 2 encounters. And my PC isn't even that good, just much better than when FO2 was first released.
 
So, you've managed to take all the quests and story away from Fallout 2? Not nice :P

But enough of my bitching. If I may have a valid suggestion: Try to work a bit on diversity, alike barrels burning in a cluster don't look too good.
 
your pc being to fast for fallout has actually nothing to do with my mod. i run it on 320 ram and 1000 mhz. wich is lame pc tbh but for fallout 2 it runs ok. arent there programs out there that can lower your cpu just when using certain games? plus if anyone knows of hacked engine that has no time limit or longer time limit. than let me know. otherwise there is nothing i can really do at this point. coz by the time 13 years passes for me i am usually sick of that char and i make new one. and on my pc it takes 15-18 playing hours on avrage for that limit to pass.
 
well now i thought hard of how i should fix this. and i menaged to come up with idea. i will just beaf up the procentage of meating chance on encounter table and uppload new verion of this mod called "Fallour 2 mod SA for High cpu"

now instead of 3%-10% chance of meating creatures it will be 75%-90%. this will be ok for slower pcs to. but u will be able to get upp to lvl 70 at least than. only thing on slow pcs u will encounter stuff like 10 fights every inch u take.

secondly, sorry if my english is bad, or worst, or whatever.

About the 13 years limit, I was thinking about the speed at which the chosen one travels around the world map. Can we control this speed by means of scripts? with the car the dude travels faster so...it can be done?
if not the speed, what about the time travel? I mean, the time that passes per "pixel traveled"

This mod is about to battle overall time in random encounters, right? so, the experience points that you get after kill a critter can be increased??; tough battles but a bunch of XP.
Leveling up it'd be faster and maybe this avoids the 13 years limit.

I have to go to check it out this mod (I haven't played it yet) but looks good.

//////////This mod is exactly the same as regular Second Apocalypse mod, only difference is that in this version encounter tables have been boosted up extremly to prevent time limit of 13 years to run out so fast. this was specially problem for people with high cpu. but this mod is recomended for those with low cpu too, because it means you will encounter tons more stuff before time runs out making u able to gain extreme amount of lvls and play time.///////////


i tryed it before and i was encountering stuff like every tile i moved on map. that was kinda fun. and this was with 320 ram 1000 mhz. i am guessing poeple with twice good pcs wont encounter something like every tiny move they make like i did but i hope they wont be able to walk all the way across map and not meet anything. before chance of encounter was 4% on some place and 22% as highest on some rare places. now lowest is 80% and lots of areas on map have 90% encounter chance.

we just got to wait till Odin uploads it.

Has it been uploaded to NMA yet? Are you just waiting for an Admin to approve it?
 
yea i am just waiting for the admin to aprove it. but this update on the mod makes the mod totaly different. you meet alot more mutants and ghouls. but i like it lot more. traveling from one shop to another takes alot of time. and it actually happens alot that you die on your way. even thoe u get better guns a bit easier now its still a strugle coz you waste alot of shots and stimpacks.

oh yea and there is one more thing i got to warn poeple when playing it. dont get radiated. i have not added any radaways. there are rad-ex so use them when you fight aliens and centaurs. if you get radiated and save you are majorly screwed.

allso if you want this mod to be even harder and like chalenge, than turn it up on hard in options and dont take any barter skill and low charisma. this will make updating armor real hard and u will encounter more enemies at once.
 
yes now the mod works fine for me. i would like to see other version of it. Great work Haris no i have some time to kill
