Oh, uhm...I'm kind of uploading radnan's handy-work right now.

But if you spot some valuable ones radnan missed, do add.

Well, the color scheme looked much better in this trailer. In the gameplay demo it all looked like if it was inside The Matrix. All with a tint of green.

There were still ghoul crazies who attacked you on sight in random encounters.

And as far as reserving spots in vaults goes, if we consider Fallout 2 canon, it was one big experiment anyway, so you were able to reserve it if you fit the demographic group needed for a particulat experiment. And the wealthiest probably had private vaults of their own and didn't need to reserve any spots in Vault-Tec ones.

So did the underground Ghoul leader and Set's buddy (I can't remember his name). I never said that Ghouls are zombies, I said that there are some zombie Ghouls. Random encounters around Necropolis pit you against rabid Ghouls, some are even called "zombies". There are even zombie like Ghouls that moan and groan and attack you on sight on the first map in Necropolis.

The intro was supposed to be corny. The trailers for fallout 1 and 2 were corny. Example here. The whole corny 50's thing was a large part of the theme of the game.

Vault selection appeared to be slightly random to me in the games. Besides that the 50's was the height of the middle class and the whole "American Dream with 2.5 children" thing was large part of what was going on back then.

Some ghouls in Fallout were in fact "zombies"... or did you never go underneath necropolis? From the bar screen shot we already know that some ghouls will be more human.

Finally, I'm not sure if Dogmeat counted towards your NPC limit in the original fallout (he definitely did in number 2), but in anycase I can forgive his "special" status because he such an icon of the series and I can't really imagine that i'd ever kick him out of my party anyway.

There is no NPC limit in the original Fallout.

By the way, the events from the newspaper in the trailer didn't happen at the same time. The date shown is Wednesday, January 13, 2066. China only invaded Alaska by the end of 2066, Canada was annexed in 2076, and the UN was disbanded in 2052. But I understand that all of these events were there for symbollic reasons.

Two more headlines might be related to whatever Lyons found in the Pentagon: "Super-Bomb Tested" and "Development of Army Super Weapon Confirmed".

Did anyone else notice the way Todd introduced the Fatman in the gameplay video? Like he expected everyone to be really impressed... and then they didn't react at all?

I'm trying to figure out why they think that idea is so impressive when clearly no one else does.

really dissapointed by how bad Bethesda artists managed to do the 2d drawings and animations

the vault boy is messed up and the new drawings aren't anything close to the pip/vault-boy drawings in style ... sigh

Well, the E3 crowd during Microsoft's press conference was generally extremely subdued this year. The only time they ever sorta lit up was after the surprise FFXIII announcement for 360.

That actually looked pretty good. I am a diehard Fallout fan, but I also like FPSRPGs like Deus Ex, System Shock, and Vampire Bloodlines. This looks pretty decent, but I still think that isometric RPGs still have a place and would have preferred that. It looks like they got the humor down pretty good (hard to tell without dialogue). The art style at least feels true to Fallout (orc mutants notwithstanding). I liked the opening live action bit, the greasers, Dogmeat, the music was classic and the gore effects are what you would expect from a modern day Fallout. All in all, this got my hopes up a bit, but I still have not forgotten that Oblivion's trailers were in no way accurate with what the final game became, so I'd say I'm cautiously optimistic.

I understand that some people are put off that they didn't show off the dialogue. I disagree, dialogue scenes don't translate as well into a trailer as action. They haven't shown off much so this trailer was meant to get people's attention. The dialogue should have been shown in that disappointing walkthrough we got earlier today.

I don't know why they didn't release something like this sooner. It sounds like some of us are having second thoughts NOW THAT WE ACTUALLY SEE THE GAME! Seriously, it was nice, but we should be at least on the third or fourth trailer by now, not to mention gameplay videos and more than a handful of screenshots.

There was a guy on Game Trailers who complained about the Vault Boy being a rip off of Bioshock. I wanted to punch the bastard with a Power Fist in the groin (well, I guess I can't do that anymore). Kids these days.

EDIT: Oh, and I am so sick of the Fatman already. We get it! Show us something new!

Of course. It's the viewers' fault for not showing a suitable amount of appreciation for the technological and intellectual marvel that is Fatman. Bad, bad viewers.

Maybe they were still paralyzed a little from when his voice went up in pitch when talking about "all the ways to kill people".

Does anyone else think it's odd to see the character carrying one weapon on his back when we know he has several more in his inventory? As if the poor man's hammerspace is broken and can only hold so much.

His voice is so annoying. He sounds like a 10 year old kid.

Every time he says something, its as if he expects a pat on the back or super-duper applause. damn.
