Nicely done. The architecture of Fallout has always been one of its strongest design hallmarks, but it often seems to go overlooked (in discussion, if not in actual appreciation). The attention paid to the game's pre-war constructions is indeed one of the best and most faithful parts about Fallout 3 and one of the reasons so much of the game was a visual pleasure to explore.

I might not necessarily call the inclusion of the old DC landmarks a masterstroke, but that's mainly just me being unwilling to give them a pass for the miracle of their still existing. I'd never considered the contrast, though, and it does add something within the framework of the game, even if it's not lore-friendly in a wider context.

Also, since I know someone's going to nitpick, let me steal their hypothetical thunder with some gentle pedantry and point out that "Children of the Atom" at 1:30 should be "Children of the Cathedral," unless there was some odd across-the-pond localization I wasn't aware of.

    Good stuff though, really. Thanks.

The problem with the vision of DC remains is that it doesn't make sense in context.
If you play it in a foreign language, with no knowledge of the plot, their depiction is quite fantastic.

I always loved the architecture in Fallout...but that's just because I have a thing for retro stuff (I love me some Raygun Gothic) ...including architecture like Art Deco, Googie, and Streamline Moderne.

Quite a well-made video. Good narration.
