Through Majesty 2 topic I stumbled onto this little gem. Well first Impression I got was another HoMAM clone. Oh how wrong I was, its more like Warlords, meets Rites of war meets Shadow Horned Rat finally meeting fantasy general. Playing it so far has been fun, to get the gold cup in most missions keeps you on toes. Well thought use of scouts, can score objectives in few turns, meaning best rewards.

I hear next game in the series is coming, has anyone had chance to play demo of it?

Give me Age of Wonders personally, not AoW 2, but a continuation of the strategy system in AoW...

They HoMM cloned in the second one but the first one had a really fun customization system for your leader and units did not need a leader to run rampant in your name :P :D

I prefer AOW over AOW2 and SM. AOW had a better story and setting. Its also fairly morally ambiguous for a fantasy game and the multiple branchs and endings were pretty good.

FW is almost a direct remake of Fantasy General and it is a lot of fun. Supposedly there are sequels already published behind the Iron Curtain but they have not been released in English language versions yet.
