Exactly who (or what...) is the master? is he a mutant? some genetic experiment gone wrong? a computer?

The master is Richard Grey, a doctor and an old friend of Harold (the ghoul in the Hub). During an attack on the military base (or was it the Glow?) Richard Grey fell into a vat with the FEV virus and somehow merged with one of the computers

Three people? what do you meen? And I thought Richard Grey was the Masters lieutenant

Check out Chris Taylor's interview to Saint_Prov on Vault13.net He clearly says Master is composed of three people, one of them Richard Grey, another two are unnamed and undefined. You can read more about Leutenant (nothing sensational, though) in my interview when it comes out.
