Where'd That 6th Toe Come From?
Hello i buy FOT 4 days earlier when i played i noticed that merchants dont restock. Was wondering why merchants in BH dont restock...i know its waste land but...they got scribes they build bunkers, power armors, weapons and cant build ammo??? I think its wired any patch or mod to correct this or how to make this mod (never done any mod but shouldent be hard)...maybe im wrong but scribes got knowledge and equipment to make ammo...so pls help me i looked on web but only stupid cheats to make more ammo dont want that...i hope you understand me i really like random encounters im on 5 mission btw.

Thx for answears and help in advance :)

Wrong Forum... Moved.

Merchants don't restock because there's no coding to support it. You'd have to make duplicates of each merchant with different inventories and then set triggers to swap them around each time the player visits (assuming the merchant is still alive). They probably didn't bother since the maps (other than the bunkers) aren't set up for repeat visits.

Quarter Masters can be made to restock but that means editing the bos.cam file, check the tutorials.

Besides how can you run out of ammo in FOT? There's probably more ammunition available in the first chapter than the whole of Fallout.

@ T-Bolt

Well first of all sry for posting in wrong section...secound of all restocking Quarter Masters would be fine...but im not sure if i can do it even with tutorials...got to study no time for learining moding...and last thing well i like random encounters lots of ammo gouse there and im not using burst mode and well maybe its becouse im used to FO1 & 2 where merchants restocked :) so to your knowledge no one did such a mod so i cant find it somewhere on web?

Not to my knowledge, and I doubt any one will since it means editing and uploading a 20meg file.

Save your good ammo & weapons for the missions and use all the odd weapons and ammo (like the garand) for the encounters.

Even with a lot of encounters, there's enough ammo to be found or bought in the game, that you can have more than you can carry without ever visiting the QM at all.
