Hunting rifle unuseable

Fired up tactics for the first time since i played it on release, and for some reason my character can't use Farsight's hunting rifle, it's loaded, but is red on the quickslot and is unuseable. Transfering it to farsight works, but I wanted to give it to my main character. Is this weapon unique to her, or is there some other reason i can't use it?

I'm retarded, STR just wasn't high enough, nothing seemed to say so in-game, but i was assuming Fallout1/2 rules were still the same here. You can delete this post, or not.

most weapons has min reqs, u need to have some str to be able to use it, yes.
I retake FT yesterday to play in insane (withow hack) and yes, i take the hunting rifle of farsight... i can use it, is just that she can do it better... til some few lvl more....
