Anyone who's ever wondered about the identity of some girl in some free sample of some random pornsite knows how difficult it is to figure out what her stage name is and what flicks she's done. Even for mainstream actresses, this is practically impossible.

Of course there is a major website focussing on the adult industry and it has a full index of all (American) mainstream porn actresses and movies, but what good is an alphabetic database if it's the name you want to find out?

So here's the idea: a reverse look-up.

Criteria could be cup size, tan, hair and eye colour(s) (yes, multiple) and of course other physical attributes like tattoos and piercings.

The reasons for this to be profitable are the same as for any such index: deals with internet shops and pornsites for the integration of advertisements into the actress page (movies she starred in, websites that have galleries of her, that kind of stuff).

If adult websites wouldn't be such a legal hassle, I'd go ahead and implement this idea right away.

also, as for the difficulty of getting the names, i think sites like 4chan will get you most answers.

If it was your idea and you think you could make it yourself, why did you tell people about it? Getting a pornsite started in Germany has to be pretty easy... Why don't you ask major pornsites how they did for legal matters?

Also, people who watches porn has a lack of imagination. I like to make up my own plots when it's time to choke the chicken.

Uhm, no.

First of all, finding a host that is reliable and also allows pornsites is annoying.

Secondly, complying with German "youth protection" laws is a huge pain in the ass, especially if you run an adult entertainment website (AFAIK most German pornsites are based in the US or elsewhere).

Lastly, I don't believe in intellectual copyright in general.

As for the thousands of Chinese: most of the data is freely available already. This would work much better as part of an existing database, of course, but could be created as a standalone project with promotional photos alone (porn labels should be shipping those by the truckloads if you can set up a deal with them for the website).

Granted, it's a lot of work, but it's completely trivial in terms of initial set-up. Maintenance would be no bigger a task than for the existing indexes.

Besides, I got better things to do than to spend my precious effort on creating a pornsite from scratch (not really, but I like pretending I have a life and creating a pornsite is the kind of thing that has the opposite effect in terms of past references on a job application form).

There's a web site called peachyforum.com. Post one of those galleries of a nameless girl and someone will know who it is and post many more galleries.

This is probably a more efficient model than a database.

I wasn't aware 4chan is a nexus of knowledge regarding legal-aged western women as well. Guess it's not only inhabited by pedophiles, rapists and furries anymore.

i'm not very knowledgeable in those parts of ze internatz, but 4chan was the first to come to mind. i thought that if it includes carnal acts (of whatever kind), 4chan will get you some answers.

either way, there should be sites with "connaisseurs" of the porn scene. there are sites of everything else anyway.
