Mods you love or like

I really enjoyed Coito Ergo Sum, granted it has a lot of nudity and very adult themes.

The reason I enjoyed this mod so much was because of the story it told. The characters were surprisingly human and I found realatable characteristics in almost all of them. Finding out that not only did the old world porn industry managed to survive the great war, and leave behind functioning equipment was very interesting to me. From my perspective it negotiated both the scavenging survival of the wasteland as well a fairly deep narrative that compelled me to continue playing. In other words it blended quite well with the established lore, with only a few minor issues that are not really worth pointing out.

If you are comfortable enough to play through themes such as human trafficing, murder, betrayal, and business management I would suggest giving it a shot.

For me I'm a bit of a story nut, anything that can advance the plot with interesting concepts and characters will keep me enthralled for a good while.

I think a great will put focus onto an area the main game over looked or didn't have time to cover. There defintly some interesting things to think about and a good mod will help you out with that

I personally quite like small mods that add little bit or realism like animated food and drink or that smoking mod for NV. I particularly like these mods because they will also work with other mods with out compatibility issues. So therefore any mod adding world space or quests will work with it

I must agree lolpop109, mods that enhance the immersion of the presented theme and setting can do wonders for game play.

Fallout FIXT, Killap's Fallout 2 Restoration Project (hate EPA part), Fallout 1.5: Resurrection (writing can be bit edgy from time to time)

VTMB Unofficial Patch and VtM: The Final Nights for Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines

Nehrim: At Fate's Edge for The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion

DotA, Final Fantasy Epic RPG, Skibis Castle TD and many others maps for Warcraft III

I like how they can work well with other mods. To make something really impressive. Like food and driv animations with smoking animations

Well, I have been modding my Fallout New Vegas for quite a while and there are definitelly some incredible mods:

a)WMX - Weapon Mods Expanded - adds mods to most if not all the weapons in the game. It allows uniques like A Light Shining in the Darkness to become even better and it is very satisfying.

b)EVE - If you like laser weapons this mods is just for you. It adds some extra "omph" to all those weapons, making them very pleasant to use. It is not perfect, but I like it anyway. Although, I prefer melee and guns much more ;)

c)New Vegas Redesigned 3 = Makes all the NPCs much more human and believeable. It is arguable if it is the best, but definitelly has got quite a bit of charm.

d)Project Nevada - Truly Amazing. I cannot play this game without it. It adds so much to the game, like no scaliability, food not healing, bullet time, balancing, weapons. And a lot more, it is just spectacular.

e)YUP - fixes most of the bugs that appear in the game. Mandatory most of the time. Nothing else to add.

f)Pipboy Readius - I like this one, because it gets rid of the stupid glove that stays in the base game. It is a bit lore breaking, but I like it regardless.

h)Cap Removed - allows the user to remove cap on DT,DR and or Rad Resistance. I personally go far Rads and DT one, so that I can not be 100% resistant to damage. It brings back Fallout 1 memories, where 2 Rad-x gave immunity to radiation for some time.

That is all I can think off for now.

Heh, funny to think about mods that become standalone games in their own right or even entire genres as the DotA example.
On that note: Counter Strike, Team Fortress.

And speaking of FPS mods, I really loved Dystopia back in the day too: http://store.steampowered.com/app/17580/
Haven't tried it in ages though. Seems to have died off, which is a shame. Had a lot of really great ideas, but was probably too complex for its own good with the the way loadouts and objectives worked. Probably very off-putting to newcomers and not very broad appeal. Was a bit too reliant on the knowing the maps too. If you hadn't played a particular map before, you were often useless and just weighed the team down, because objectives both in meatspace and cyberspace were not always completely straightforward and there were a lot of them on each map.

  • Classic Pip-Boy Mod
  • New Vegas Uncut(With Bessie the Brahmin companion)
  • Fallout 1.5 Ressurection
  • Boom to the Moon(One of someguy's legendary mods)
  • Autumn Leaves

I also quite like the idea of imrpoved 1st person camera however I never managed to get that working ! Improved animation can also be cool if done right. I mean modders have literally got NV up to Fallout 4 standard in terms of recoil animation and running animations really

VTMB Unofficial Patch and Fallout 2 Restoration Project for restoring cut content. I'm also going to give New Vegas Uncut and some others listed here as well.

I just like the little things, stuff like NV uncut that add new ways to complete quests and smaller side quests. Unofficial patches (especially for VMB) are good too.

There was one for F4 that added ~2000 settlement objects. Pretty good for when I spent hours building shit.

Cyan: Raider Girl Companion mod. I have no idea why, but I just like her. She is a simple companion mod using generic fiend dialogue.
Fallout Character Overhaul. Really improves the character appearance.

Threat of Dreams 1 and 2. My favorite Neverwinter Nights mods. Good story and atmosphere. Too bad he never finished the series.

-Skyrim: Ordinator is one of my favorites because it overhauls the perk system. It really helps out for magic users since perks in vanilla were terrible.

-FNV: Project Nevada by and large. Adds a lot of functionality and options the game originally did not have. It builds on top of what is already an outstanding experience.

Fallout 2 restoration project - made an already awesome game more addictive.

Bloodlines unofficial patch - thanks to it bloodlines became one of my favourite games.

SkyUi - made dealing with inventory management much easier.

What others said., pretty much. Plus, several game-size TCs for Deus Ex, namely Nihilum and 2027.
