I've made the request of Odin and Sebastion via email but haven't heard back from you guys so I thought I'd make the request on here instead. This is a mod in progress... a very large and ambitious mod in progress.
I'd like to start recruiting for a FOT mod that I am working on. I will only be acting as lead producer/writer of said mod as I have only a little bit of experience in actual design (IE: programming, 3dsmax/lightwave/etc. usage, and creating sprites) Though I'm decent at using Photoshop, After Effects, and doing
sound work. Here is a list of what I'd like to do.
1.) Make a full expasion of the FOT game, (free of course with rights and
all still going to original developers and to whoever holds them now
"Bethesda/Interplay" or whoever) But with me and all the other people that
helped make the expansion mod added into the list of credits
2.) incorporate fmv's, voice overs/actors, and recruiting
others to do voice over work, fmv design, and storyboards.
3.) Stick to the original Fallout story ark (thus making a few changes to
the original game in a small way. Or, by expanding a little further on what
had been said in the original FOT. Just making the game feel a lot more like
the originals while keeping it tactically based)
4.) incorporate an actual vault dweller into the story line (IE: having him
meet up with the BOS after leaving the vault.)
5.) Keep it in Colorado but add in new locations, old locations, make the
cities like they were in the older games where you could pick up quests and
interact with people, shoot everyone, or save the city (IE: you could
actually use your Charisma for being an A@# hole or a nice guy)
6.) Build off of the original FOT (Change what happened after the robot
armies took over, incorporate new ideas and write in a better storyline.
because we all know {original developers included} that a better job could
have been done all around.)
7.) Balance weapons and HtH, random incounters/instances ( I know a lot of
people have worked on this but I plan on standardizing it so that it
makes almost everyone happy) {If that is even a remote possiblitly given the
nature and tenacity of the NMA group... me included...}
8.) Put the subtle humor and action back into game (IE: Adding in new random
encounters, text, and people that hint to scifi/horror/etc that has happened
in the last 9 years and a lot that happened before. That was never put in
the games)
9.) Making the game actually playable in turn based play ( I know people
have also done this as far as modding. Again, I plan on standardizing this
or using the best turn based mod I can generate or find {given I have the
creators approval first}
10.) Expounding on what has been created already in the FOT/F1/F2 world and
incorporate future visions that were never realized (IE: creating new
sprites for the mutated plants created by the irradiated GECK.)
11.) Just making the game what it should have been in the first place, with
creative writing, and dialogue
I know this sounds like a huge undertaking, but just like other modders
before me can attest its about having the right people, keeping them
organized, and motivated to push towards the final goal/product. because,
none of us are getting paid, we're just doing it because we love the game.

All ideas are welcome as this mod is just starting and I want it to be a group effort. That way hopefully the humor and dialogue aren't static to my writing style and humor.
