Fallout: Mutant threat
Fallout2: High tech human threat (Enclave)
The plot of Fallout 3 has to have some sort of world threat line but whats really left without leaving the world of fallout (how the game is)
The best bet would seem to be some sort of alien threat on the planet, or even traveling to a different country, but what would really be different, you wont get a more powerful human threat then the enclave but before posting your ideas take heed of these points:
1) The bloodline of the vault dweller. (cant break that cycle can we
)
2) Technology of weapons. (better weapons etc so need a stronger enemy then enclave, and no one really wants to play a game with less technology than the previous)
3) There will still be mutants there not sterile (from fallout 2 if marcus gets laid at the cats paw he tells you, kinda wrecks the mutant plot line in fallout tactics dont it)
Personaly I dont want to play the same enemy again (even if upgraded). They might be needed as a sub enemy of course, before the main threat is seen.
But what of the quest and how it falls in with the plot... post your ideas here
