Print screen problem

Right, I tried to print screen my gameplay just half an hour ago, and all that the print screen captured was the desktop. I tried several times and all it ever print screened was the desktop. Would it help if I mentioned I am on windows 7?

Try Irfanview. You can bind hotkeys for different kind of screenshots and it will save them, not just put them in your copy buffer.

Although saving straight into a folder would be helpful, that isn't the problem, it's the point that whenever I take a print screen while on a game it print screens the desktop, not the actual game.

Just print screen? I always use ctrl+print screen and have never had a problem. What OS you use?

I use Gadwin's PrintScreen. It's freeware, and can be keybound. It occasionly screws up when trying to screengrab a old game (Fallout 2 and older). Apart from that, the only other problem it has if you're trying to screengrab a video being played with VLC. But that has it's own in built grabber. I've been using it for five years now and it's literally the only program I've not looked for a replacement for.

It works fine with 7, but I don't know about a 64 version.
