Look among the downloads (tools), there are several dat utilities there. AFAIR Dat Explorer does the job just fine. Usually there's also a short description with the instructions.

Datexplorer only extracts I want to import
There is no need to repack the master.dat - you can as well simply use a patch000.dat OR use Sfall and add your own patch *.dat file with whatever name you want.
