Mildly Dipped
This bug is happening with my custom campaign I'm working on. Randomly my game will start regenerating action points very quickly and then if I save and try to reload the game will crash.

Any ideas about what is going on? It's very frustrating. :?

Does anyone have any ideas? I don't know of anything I might have changed that would cause this. Would it be more to do with a trigger or something in the campaign settings that would cause this?

Maybe it is a bugged item? Or maybe I'm saving while AP's are being regenerated and it's causing the bug to happen? I don't understand it.

Try playing the default game without any mods and see if it happens then. If not you've ruled out any technical conflicts and then it's down to what you've changed (ap costs, bonuses etc.)

I just tried the original campaign and didn't get the bug after several minutes of play so it's most likely something I've done. Probably one of the guns. Would it have something to do with using BOSEE to make additional ammo types?

I'll restart and keep several saves and try to figure out what's causing it.

I've never had the problem with anything entered via BoSEE.

Have you tried playing in a different mode and seeing if it still crashes? Like the final map in Awaken would crash in TB because the bossman had negative aps.

Strangely enough the problem is a gun that fires 4 bullets at a time as a regular single type shot (it's like a homemade shotgun). If I remove the weapon from the character's hands and then save/reload the character has no regular punch/kick options.

I'll have to check the gun with the editor and see what might be causing the problem.

This is odd because I've never had the problem before. Although when I used it in the past it actually fired like a shotgun (which did insane amounts of damage so I nerfed it to a regular attack).

Strange.. did you try saving with the weapon equipped and after firing it a couple times to see if it gave the problem then after loading the game?

Hmm.. I hadn't thought of that. I'll delete the saves and stop saving over them.

Oh I also experienced the same problem with a different gun so it's definitely not the shotgun at fault.

They both use the same caliber but I don't see how a bullet could be the problem.

Edit:

I just found out what the problem is. If I use a lot of AP's and then save my game before they regenerate then it messes up. Same thing happens with any weapon.

I'll try with different characters and see if it might just be that particular character messing up.

Scratch that. It happens anyway. I think it has something to do with the campaign settings. Any idea where I can access the AP regen delay settings for the campaign? I use to know where but I've since forgotten. I thought it was in a text file in locale or tables but no dice.

edit:

Is it a double post when it's been a few hours later? Also, does it indicate that the actual thread has been updated if you only edit your post?

See? I bet you won't notice this since it's been edited unless you check every post every day for such.

AP Regen can be changed for standalone missions, not campaigns, in the mission option screen. Though I'm not sure that works for SP I think it's just MP.

Ahem double posting, you edited your previous post so you do know better.

First you whine and complain until I shut up about Fallout 3 and now you're complaining about double posts that aren't really double posts?

If it's more than one post in a row by the same poster it's a double post, even if they've been posted a few years apart. I don't make the rules, I just enforce them. If no one's replied to your post and you want to make sure it get's noticed you could of copied the text of the old post deleted it and then made a new post.

Yes I do.

And I'm not the one whining and complaining around here.
