Can you unload a weapon?
I need more ammo for my smg and I have a gun that uses the same ammo in my INV fully loaded. Can I unload that gun so I can have ammo for my smg?

It was possible in Fallout2.

I think when you put a weapon in your inv from you weapon slots, or pick one up, it unloads it automatically and puts the ammo with the rest of that type in your inv.

I am not sure about that. I think I already checked if it works. I will double check though, just in cease. Still there should be an unload button so you can have more of that precious ammo and use it in the gun that you like the best.
Thanks piemaster

The same problem plagued me for ages! It might be worth trying a patch if it doesn't automatically unload them. I don't really know though.

They're full of meaty goodness!

Crap... dude
I have the newest patch... I just bought the game yesterday and frist thing that I noticed was the unload problem. I guess we just gonna have to deal with it :{

As piemaster said when you put a weapon in your inv it automaticly unloads. If you kill somebody, his weapon will be unloaded aswell. If no ammo is available on his body that means he didn't have any left. The only problem i had with it was that when you have two or three types of ammo that a gun can use, the game puts the ammo in for you and to my knowledge you can't put other ammo in unless you drop all the undesired ammo and put the weapon in your slot and pick the other ammo up again. Reloading an empty weapon from one of your active item slots does the same thing. It happened to me when i wanted to use those EMP shells in my shotgun and it would reload normal shells. I was facing robots and those EMP shells really bust them up.

Thanks guys!
Acctualy I realized that after plying the game for couple of missions.
Another question though... or a comment

When you are in the bunker and barter with the armorer or the medic you can't realy see the stats. of items you barter for.
I find that upseting since I like to know what I am getting.
Or maybe I just dont know how to access that info?
Any suggestions?

Nope, sorry!If there is a way I don't know it :( .If you have a specific item you want to find out about try the items section on this site.
