I'd also like some better sneaking gameplay. In F3 if you got spotted, the enemies can pretty much see through the walls and just find you again and again and again. Also, the sniper rifle should seriously act like a sniper rifle = ACCURATE!

What if the enclave captain(whose name i dont happen to remember) would escape to the Vegas. (of course, doesnt go by the book if player chose not to kill him on fo3)

Please, no Enclave. The last two Fallouts beat that one to death. The Enclave is dead. However, I wouldn't be mad if I could get my hands on some left over Enclave tech

Does anyone know about the skill limit/level cap?
Would it kill the developers if the increased the skill limits to 300 like in Fallout 2 and delete the level cap? Also, modifying apparel would be also pretty cool. Like if you have a trenchcoat, you could pad it up with hard leather or something to increase damage resistance.

    @mr. bazooka.

I think I didn't make myself clear. I meant that if the Colonel Autumn would leave the enclave in shame of his failior and well... start a new life as a deadbeat/gambler/playboy/caesars made man. (or maybe i am just trying to force myself to think that fo3 is canon)

Other things would be that BoS would go back to "underground" faction that sees and hears everything but is not seen or heard.

And this the way things should be:
Gambling->Organized crime->Mafia=cool suits, tommy guns and really colorful dialogs with psychopath "scarface"-like made mans and with fat tonys.

And maybe the most essential on my wishlist(if the basic "better storytelling" "no aliens" and "f'**k you bethesda" are not count) more stories involved into the places, i don't want them to be like "oh, another hidden military base" go in, kill sentry bots, loot everything, go out. Many places in fo3 were like "oh, nice idea" and five minutes later "duhh". And EVERY building in the dc had almost the same interior. Sulky corridors, muties, terminal somewhere.

Ps. how about fat robot-Elvis? :D

Edit: "The NCR was fighting hard against the Brotherhood of Steel for Hoover Dam. The NCR has won this battle, barely." -So long for the underground hi-tech BoS not messing up with politics and such...

I would like to see some real "Boss" encounters like the master in Fallout 1 or Frank H. in Fallout 2.

Also i would like to see some nukes in NV which have a greater impact on the story....like the Church of Children Nuke in F1, Enclave Nuke in F2 or the VB nukes which could be set off by the player.

The nuke in F3 had almost no story effect in my opinion.

Speaking of bosses, I would like to see a main antagonist or multiple antagonists who have a really well worked out background and motivation for what they are doing.
Perhaps something so strong that the player can actually understand and perhaps feel for them, even if the player has to stop them.

And like the Master the player can resolve the end confrontation through intelligent dialog and proper reasoning than only at gun point or through use of Sneak or Science.

I have never played fallout 3, but someone mentioned a shameless waist high fence with a message of "You can't go that way" or something to indicate the end of the map?

Wasn't easier to just put colors on the ground to identfy and exit grid, and every time a player stepped on a supposed "edge" of the city suddenly a trippy screen would teleport the view Google Earth style with a high res picture of a green-tinted overworld to travel around?

You know, like the other games did to make travelling little more realistic.

Oh no, but that's not IMMERSIVE AT ALL is it?

I wanna see a Wasteland that remembers it's a wasteland, but at the same time remembers that it's been 200 years. I mean, after all that time there's bound to be some sense of self sufficiency and normalcy. People might not be living in comfort, but not every day would be a struggle for survival.

Also, have limb damage mean something. If I or a follower have a broken leg, I need to either heal that, or scavenge a splint and that person becomes less effective until properly healed. Ditto arms. Crippled head means unconsciousness, maybe death (although that could get annoying, "son of a bitch crippled head *bleh* person dead") crippled torso means person is staggering, can't aim for shit and whatnot.

Saw this above, and while I know this wouldn't happen, have characters themselves be the inventory. Kind of like Alone in the Dark, except done good. Need to have bags and whatever for loot, and slings/holsters for guns (this could even break down into a tactical option for where you have something slung over your shoulder takes a second longer to get out, a gun on your ankle takes a second unless you crouch down (which would also increase accuracy.) Shit like that.
