why no space sims on PS3?

I've started playing Privateer 2 ( thanks to the DOS games thread ) again and it's quite a good game..
A remake of this ( or sequel ) would be great on the modern consoles as I recon a dual stick controller would lend itself to space flight games really well, but they just don't make them


This, the "X" series, Freelancer etc or something along those lines ( space trader / fighter / pirate etc with a main story line running through it ) would be great...

I tried playing privateer 2 again, the space combat mechanics are just so bad. having fun with wing commander 3 though.
