  • Starbound is a lot more fun than I anticipated, and pretty cheap as well. I recommend it.
I never realized sugarbombed.com had a Fallout lore discussion forum. How quaint.

He didn't consider them non-canon per-say, he just tried them, and posted a video saying that they didn't have the same charm/play-ability as Bethesda Fallout.

Shortly after he tried to befriend Pete Hines by making comments on what its like to be part of the "Fallout Community", to which Pete Hines responded "You know, one of us has been in the Fallout Community since the late 90s". , afterwards Matty immediately made a video praising the originals and how amazing they were.

JO'Geran pretty much answered your question, @Brivoo . I will add that it is rather hilarious to see how quickly Matty ran off to make an 'updated' video about his opinions of Fallout 1 and 2. There are arguments made that Matty legitimately changed his mind (which may be plausible) but from some of his 'work', I believe he only changed it because he humiliated himself in front of Hiney.

Why is Kid in the Fridge such a big deal? Fallout 3 pulled that shit all the time, but nobody batted an eye.

I'm trying as hard as I can to remember a ghoul that didn't require food, water and air in Fallout 3, but I can't remember any (actually, I explicitly remember seeing a ghoul water beggar, which is quite contrary to Kid in the fridge), do you mind reminding me where he/she is?

I'm thinking specifically of Keller Senior in the National Guard Depot, who survived for 200 years in a basically empty bunker as a Glowing One. There's also a bunch of ghouls in some of the metro tunnels which are functionally trapped without any resources yet seem to be doing perfectly fine, such as those in the irradiated metro.

I think it's more of because, that topic with the fridge? It has been made fun of, out-loud and clearly, in New Vegas by way of Wild Wasteland trait. In a stroke of genius (or stupidity) Bethesda decided to make it something 'possible' and, in turn, something canon in Fallout Universe.
