im experiencing somewhat of a hype renaissance on my end. for like the past 5 years its "yeah whatever" kind of reactions for me but now im lookinf forward to a lot of new releases and playing old, older, and oldest releases and having a blast. tbh looking forward to something feels way worse than outright hating on everything immediatley. now there's stakes.

Sure it wasn't ME1 copy paste locations.. Mostly? But it was still stupid to have to randomly clear out camps for a CHANCE to find a quest/quest item.

I mean, it wasn't abysmal, sure. But it was by far the worst game in the series. Very few likeable characters, the combat is a direct pastejob of 3's. Except you're now multiclass which makes for some inventive power setups I'll admit. And the story is an underwhelming repeat episode of The Reapers, but they're on two feet.

I can only remember what, two moments from the entire game? Liam's personal mission was actually really funny for me and got me laughing a few times. And the conversation with the Salarian pilot about respecting the ship's history and the people that worked on it.

Its the same BS with Starcraft 1 going F2P as well. People were saying "if i knew it was going free to play i wouldn't have bought" Yeah friggin right.

Wait SC1 is free to play? I have the old discs, how did that work?

@Squadcar they updated the game to be compatible with the new Battle.net and made it so that the original game with its boxed resolution for free but widescreen feature along side 4k textures in the remaster is $15 last I checked. And Remaster is playable with the original game as it is a feature you can turn off in off similar to how it's done in Halo: Combat Evolved anniversary.

Oh boy! Can't wait for Bethesda to piggy back the trend of Fortnite in their next games. We all know that Bethesda loves chasing those trends.

The combat is the clunkiest part with the sticky cover that doesn't always work and sometimes makes your character loop through diferent poses, I never felt like giving orders to the companions did anything and often found them dead at random, controls are just bad, specially on PC, also the inventory is terrible.

Well I've never had any problems with that. At worst I found a goofy running animation when you crouch, but thats it. And uh, maybe not giving your teammates commands is why they ended up dead a lot? Seems like a problem you could've avoided if you just took charge of the situation. I'll give you one on the inventory, ME1 had a pretty shitty UI tbh.

Maybe you should read what I wrote well because I literally said that giving them orders seemed to not do anything, I was constantly issuing commands on it but I more often than not ended up having to solo most encounters. I played on hard.

Only have the last mission left on my second run for that "100% complete so i can import a perfect save to ME2 and then ME3" run. Can't wait!

Its only slow if you're slogging through it for the lvl60 in NG+. I've put around 140hrs into the game total, and I never really get 'bored' like I do with the second half of ME2. The only really boring part of 1 is both Saren fights. But Mass Effect has always had shitty bosses.

Particularly it's my favorite. A masterpiece and one of my favorite games of all time.

Maybe if someone convinces me it's worth the time, I'd try those 3 out. Dread looks the most interesting. Otherwise, I'm ready to see Miami for 4 and that's it. Otherwise NV has more interesting mods coming for RPG fans.

At this point, I don't remember the mods I used exactly. There was one that made bullets fly, rather then hit-scan, so if a target is moving, you need to aim ahead of it. One that overhauled combat to be like a first person shooter, so if a grenade lands too close to you, it's always KO and headshots either deal massive damage, or KO, unless you have PA.

One that overhauled weapons, so that there were no OP BS like Fat Man and a lot less explosive stuff in general. One that overhauled behavior of enemies and their scaling. One for ammunition... blah... I don't remember.

Never played JA.. Not sure if i should pick it up or buy another game later on during sale.

It's a really fun game (until certain mechanic is introduced). There's huge variety in weapons and characters, 3 campaigns that are each along 10 hours long. And there is that destruction system that literally allows you to shoot someone with MLG through floorboards or collapse whole building on someone's head. Bought for similar price at GOG and really enjoyed it.

Caved in and bought it. Will probably play it soon.

I think my old one was something cheap ish but i can't remeber if it made any difference if you got a more expensive one besides maybe it being more than just a scanner.

All-in-one printers are cheap as hell. They work fine imo.

But thats just it. Sure, it's only an old T-45 set, but its still power armour for gods sake. It shouldn't just be mechanical combat armour with twice the DT of metal scrap worn by a raider.

Really, the only way it should have been done is by keeping PA as a lategame reward with only one set each in the game, with distinct stats that arent just: T51 is T45 with 50 points of ballistic resistance.

i'm of the opinion that power armor should be locked behind small hard to find isolationist factions like its always been. coupling that with the need for power armor traing was actually a genius move by 3 because it makes sense lore wise and mechanically but whatever bethesda is just using fallout as a gunea pig at this point.

1.5 was the fallout 1 with f2 stuff like pushing people/equiping followers etc? Was thinking about that after my last F1 run got ruined since i forgot a certain quest throws the time out of the window and Necropolis was cleared when i got there. First time that ever happened to me hehe.

No, Fallout 1.5: Resurrection is a TC mod for Fallout 2. It's basically a whole new game taking place between Fallout 1&2, and further east of Nevada with Albuquerque being the landmark this time.

Same with Fallout of Nevada, except you can install Fallout of Nevada outside of F2's folder, and it takes place just some 30-40 years after the Great War, so before F1. Place of interest is New Reno, Las Vegas, and Salt Lake City.
