  • Hi, I made this account just to post this.

I know there might not be any new development or updates for Fallout 1 Fixt but I have an issue where Unit #462 (the Mr. Handy from the Mariposa Military Base) keeps following me around and causing me trouble. I cannot talk to him and thus no option to dismiss or at least tell him to step aside. I would really like to have this fixed please.

    Try him at Codex too.
I am sorry if this is off topic, but when I talk to Lorri, no new dialogue shows, do I need do something to seduce her?

Try him at Codex if he does not respond here.
Please include a manual install option with your new release, i am unable to use installers as i use a school administered computer which doesnt allow me to run them due to insufficient access requirements.

Not to mention i much prefer manual installations as i know exactly what i'm doing and where/what i am installing.
Sorry to brother you, but it seems you know everything about the mods used in the original Fallout games and I would like to clear up something that is annoying me. Does the patch 1.2 of FO1 is official or unofficial? I bought the Fallout Trilogy from Amazon and when I installed FO1 without any mods, it came with the patch 1.2, but I thought the last official patch was 1.1. Can you help me with this?

That is actually rather bizarre - technically they shouldn't include TeamX patches without explicit approval from TeamX which to the best of my knowledge is impossible since they haven't been active since something like 2009 or 2010. I'll start a thread about this to see if anything else has insight. But either way honestly I wouldn't worry about it. TeamX v1.2.x patches are solid.

Again though my understanding is there was indeed a v1.2 patch from Interplay *for non-US versions*. So since the version you purchased is very likely shipping/distributing internationally, it would make sense to include v1.2 (TeamX or otherwise)

sduibek seems to be MIA these days. i think you're better off asking in the fixt thread, as there's probably other users that know about this

Did you ever get this figured out? Sorry about being MIA. Your saves won't work (this is explained in the Fixt installer) but it should still work installed on top of GOG or Steam versions. Did you use the Fallout directory as the install directory? If you follow everything the installer explains then it should work OK.
Is it maybe because your current user doesn't have admin rights, something like that?
