      Hey vad i need some help.
      I used your fallout 2 save editor just so i could increase my charisma to 6 (for the vault city captain of the guard charisma check with lynette) and that is all i did.

        But as soon as i did that, i loaded the game back up and was met with ol' "The referenced memory could not be read" error.
        So i tried loading a different save file, and now that one just says "Unable to load"

        How could this happen? all i did was add a "2" to my bonus stats in charisma on one save file, and all of my saves are broken now

        Any assistance would be really appreciated.

        This is the first time I've heard of such a thing. The game cannot load the save if its files were changed(by installing mod for example). I can't think of a way for my editor to do this.

        1. Changing "read only" attributes of game files, can lead to deletion of required files or inability to delete temporary files.
        2. If game was installed in "Program Files" then it can see different files when run as different users or as administartor.

      в редакторе есть кнопка edit critters, где можно сделать определенных персонажей бессмертными, кнопка can't be hurt, их вообще нельзя никак убить, по ним не проходят критические удары, я бы хотел узнать, как сделать то же самое для главного героя, потому что увеличение защиты в редакторе не спасает от смерти, если по гг кританут например пулеметной очередью

      I have a question... so I am new to PC and I cannot find anything on how to use this savegame editor fod FO2 uh I have it on Steam and the reason why I need it is because i fucked up reallly bad.... I cannot progress in the game because I did not realize what would happen. Specifically I cannot get fuel for the tanker.

        I am trying to use Vad's universal SE, yes Steam has all the things i need as far as I can see but i just do not know how to do this stuff since I just got this PC a few weeks ago.

        Just make sure the path directories for each game are correct, the SE should do everything else.

        When editor starts, set path to something like "c:\Steam\steamapps\common\Fallout 2" in settings, change "c:\Steam\" part to where yours is installed. If your game together with steam is installed in "Program Files" then you may be untable to use editor, because Windows protects files there from modification by external programs.
