    Does Fallout...

Ah but I live in the UK. There is only 1 gun shop I know of and it only stocks shotguns and a few rifle. Also its about over an hours drive from me. Guns are rare as rocking horse shit over here. Obviously there are millitary bases and alike but when the bombs fall where are they going to fall...

    Does Fallout...

All valid points. But think about this seriouslynow. And I would like a few replies to this with the following list; 1: Do you personally at this very moment (without researching) have the skills, confidence in yourself and ability to manufacture a gun and bullets? 2: Where could you walk...

    Does Fallout...

Yes true but you still have to understand the system to a certain extent. And why not have it nice and simple? Simple is easier for all parties concerned.

    Does Fallout...

I considered a system such as that. However I came to the conclusion that it was over complicated. Also it contradicts some of what I was trying to get acrross in the first post. :) Why, if you can fire a pistol (gun + small) are you so much worse with a laser pistol? (Gun + energy). A laser...

    Does Fallout...

Its a nice idea but not my sort of thing. I dont like the oblivion style of doing things. Get hammered by three goblins for half an hour to raise your heavy armour skill - its BS IMO. I much prefer the Fallout way of manual skill adjusts. Yeah its not quite so realisitc but its much more fun...

    Does Fallout...

Hmm... a level 34 death claw? Not sure about that, but making guns and more importantly functional ammunition prized is deffinatly a yes. The thing is now though that Fallout has had over 3 major releases all prodominantly featuring guns readily avalible. No company I know of will have the...

    Does Fallout...

Does Fallout have too many guns? I just watched Mad Max 2 (The Road Warrior) and I realized something like this, I know the subject has been approached before but still. In F1 (and I quote) “Ammo grew on trees and fell from the sky”. Strangely guns were actually less common than the...

    wanderers

Imagine a modern day nuclear submarine. Once they have been in service for so long they are parcially irradiated and need serious maintanence to bring them back to 100%. The 'space fleet' is no different only the problem is much bigger. Various damage to the hull through wear and tear...

FO: OL What do you want and don't want to see in the game?

I love the idea of player enforced / NPC enforced law. While NPC law could be used for major areas, such as newbie areas or major cities to give 100% effective law. If you kill / rob / rape / black market deal here you will get shot or arrested and possibly have a small bounty added to your...

    wanderers

Hey guys, Not really what I would or wouldnt like to see in fallout as such but it is heavily inspired by Fallout and this forum is the closest thing I imagine this sort of thread would go in. Basically I love comming up with ideas for games being a sort of half arsed games designer /...

    Well my handsoms...

The day is (nearly) upon us. 28th of the 10th 2008 - Fallout 3 goes live in the USA. Its out on the 31st where I live but I dont mind. I just want to raise a nice cold beer high in the air and give F3 a toast. I invite you all (if you are of drinking age in your respective country /...

    Fallout 3 Screenshots

Deathclaw looks awesome! The mutants in F3 look more raggedy and rough than I imagined them while playing F1 / F2 but its not so bad I think. :)

Oblivion has chain link fencing? ;o Also, the armour looks like a modified metal armour to me rather than power armour.

    Developer Diaries: Character Playthroughs

I believe what most people are angry about is that its nothing like F1 or F2 save for the theme (which has also been altered). No one is saying it wont be a good game, just that its not like the originals - which is true.
