A band of wastlanders

Wyatt nods, and then turns to the others. "We should see if there any supplies before we go. Ask before you take it, we don't want to steal from these people, not after they helped us."

 

"Well, we've killed a good number when we activated the explosives, so hopefully they will be low on numbers for the time being. If we can try and get the drop on them, we can wipe out what remains. We should see what the towns forces are like here. Our Militia wasn't very well equipped, and this might be a doomed operation if we aren't prepared. On that note, we might want to ask the Mayor for some better weapons."

 

"I don't mind either way. Jared, I'll leave it up to you."

 

"Well I did do a bit of recon in the service, though not much. I'm pretty sure I'll still be some help to you out there though."

 

"Okay. By the way, do you guys happen to have any binoculars?" Jared asked addressing the mayor, "Mine were lost after that last battle."

 

"Great! Ready when you are Frank."

 

"Well let me tell ya, I was scared shitless half the time. The things we saw out on runs probably wouldn't phase y your average wasteland type. But for someone like me who grew up in the capitol, it was hell. What happened in the wasteland was common knowledge, but it was different to actually experience it."

Then he glanced at Frank and laughed, "Sergeant Dobson really yanked that fear out of me though."

 

"You actually remind me of him a bit, a little more calm though," Jared chuckled.

 

Jared grabbed the man by his slashing arm and flipped him over, throwing him to the ground. As Jared pinned the assailant to the ground he looked up at Frank and said, "Dobson taught me that one too."

But as he said it, the masked man elbowed Jared in the face and broke free.

 

"Frank?" Jared asked. "You know this guy or something?"
