In a previous post someone suggested not having money in FO3, but the response was that you could not make exact change. Well I thought of a solution. Make bartering far more basic. With equipment being roughly compared to see if it is equal value.
Example:
You find a merchant who has a sharpened spear for sale.
You place two gecko pelts onto the table.
The computer tells you if that is enough.
If not, you add a couple more to the bargain.
If it's too much, you take one off.
Then add a knife.
The deal is even, and you make the trade.
It doesn't say the exact value, it only says if it is of equal value to the item(s) you want.
I think that would make bartering more realistic.
