Arroyo-Klamath Mod

I am playing the Arroyo-Klamath Mod, and was wondering if anyone else has played it and what kinds of problems have you found.

I just started and am having trouble getting past the first locked door. For some reason I can't lock pick it, and perhaps it can't be lock picked.

Any advice?
 
Look for the metal pole, should be in one of the bones you find in the chambers with the radscorpions.

Use metal pole on first door and it should unlock.

Now I am working on the second door. Have been told that one has to put the rock on a pressure plate. True? Which plate?

This mod makes this part of FO2 so much better.
 
The tile won't appear like one of those trap plates, it is somewhere halfway between the door and the other corridor that forks out to the right of the main one. When you walk over it, the door should open and a floater message should come up when you are near it, when you find it just drop the stone and the door should stay open.

Ah thanks. I dropped off the stone on a plate near the bones in the big room. Then found that by running around the room in front of the door I was able to trigger the door. Still it would have been easier if I could keep the door open.

Have you followed through with both the warrior and shaman quests.

I found that if you are playing a female character you can get Flint to join you for the temple of trials, which helps but isn't essential for killing the nasties.

I am playing two characters simultaneous- a female going for the shaman quest and a male doing the warrior quest.

It seems the male warrior quest can be achieved by stealing three pelts. I found two in the house in trapper town in Klamath, but can't recall where the fourth one was. 400 ep and some upgrades in melee and unarmed combat was all I got.

Did you have any luck getting Hanukan to upgrade weapons for you?

Love the joints and new items.

Still in the middle of the shaman quest. Need to get 30 karma points to move on.

Damn, this mod really sounds like fun. Maybe i try it, but would i have to start a new go? I'm pretty far through in the one im doing....

Hey Rogue-

I would finish playing out Fallout 2 as it, with patch. Since a lot of people play FO 2 again, I think the Klamath-Arroyo mod is a nice change.

Be warned, there are bugs. Hakunin doesn't talk as much as he used to and I have been having problems with slow loads and its crashed.

The patch can be found here. Check out FO2 section, for downloads, go to Mods and you'll find it. Basically the Klamath-Arroyo patch fits over the patch you are probably using now.

I think I am at the point with the warrior campaign where it starts to become like old FO2- into the Den. The Shaman campaign is still going.

What I like about it is that its smart and it makes sense. Before heading off you are to do something for the village. Things like "how to deal with the spore plants in the Hakunin's garden" are more interesting. The people in the town say and do more. Getting throught the temple is harder (so avoid spoilers) but the quests make sense.
 
can anyone tell me what answers to choose to complete the temple of trials?

I know you can get past it w/out doing that, but I would like to finish it by answering them anyway.
 
Do anybody know what's happen to this mod? I checked the page of TeamX, who created demo, but since March 2003 they haven't any actualization.
