BBC documentary film series, written and produced by Adam Curtis. The series is subtitled The Rise of the Politics of Fear.

The film consists of three 1-hour parts, which were first broadcast in the UK in late 2004. It compares the rise of the American Neo-Conservative movement and the radical Islamist movement, makes comparisons on their origins and suggests a strong connection between the two.

The first part of the series explains the origins of Islamism and Neo-Conservatism.

This is one of the best documentaries involving the causes of modern political sects and problems. Worth watching with some coffee and a cigarette.

Technically, the title is "The Power of Nightmares" ("Baby its Cold Outside" is the title of the first part).

Definitely an interesting watch, considering the caliber of many of the people interviewed.

Damn you for showing me this. I was supposed to write a history essay on african history and now I am forced to watch this one way or another.

It's pretty damn funny too. Kinda makes you think the Neo-Conservatives are trying to be like the Master from FO, In a really retarded way.
