Brownnoser worth it?

Just restarted a new game with the New patch. I've never really tried Brownnoser anyone use it and have good experience with it.
Cause I heard somewhere Rank doesn't realy matter that much except for recruiting. You still begin to see Power Armor in mission 12.

So anyone who chose Brownnoser like it?
 
My main character has the Brown Noser perk, and is a Paladin after completing the Jefferson mission. lol. I don't know if this is a good thing or bad thing, since I haven't played without getting Brown Noser yet. ;-)
But my recruitment pool is pretty stocked.
 
I took brown noser when i restarted my game and I got access to equipment alot faster. Thats definitely worth it if you can get sniper rifles a mission or two earlier.
 
Nope, if you complete all the missions optimally, you'll notice almost not difference between taking it and not taking it.
