Campaign editor issue, random encounters

First time out of the vault
SOLVED!!! The problem was that I was only using the FTImproved launcher and it seems to bug out for random encounters! Usint the normal FTTools made it work! Wow! wtf lol.
I literally solved it after I typed out this whole thing but before I hit post, so I'm going to leave it here in the unlikely event that it helps anyone else...

I'm having an issue with random encounters that I can't seem to overcome. I searched for similar issues and only managed to find @nadeauhugo mentioning it offhanded in an old post about something else.

The error is how the list for random encounters blacks out after importing random, or importing data. Now I do have backups and the like so I haven't really lost anything as of yet. My concern is about getting it to function when importing a new or modified list of random encounters that I have created.

All of the format is correct as far as I am aware (though I have no idea what the "cd_code" part of the encounter format references), and I have the encounter reference names listed in the encounters.txt in the correct format. But I always end up with a blanked out random encounter list, even when I create a new campaign and import into that.

Weirdly even if I restore all of these txt chains to the vanilla default, I still seem to get the same issue.

Also Weirdly the list seems to actually be there just invisible, i.e. I can click on the black sections and it acts like there are lines in there and then when I click on the campaign map it adds encounters like it normally would. I tested this with a shortened list (3 total) and could see that it is acting like there are three invisible options that you can click on (just clicking the blank space where they should be) in the exact right numbers. BUT when I tested actually encountering these in a test campaign, it always shows as "do you want to encounter "?" " and then in the encounter, nothing spawns.

I'm really stumped by this one. A potential alternative is to just leave the list as is (import everything but random into a vanilla campaign and then manually edit the entities and names etc), to potentially work around it, but that has it's own problems, and I'd like to be able to just import my campaign txt without such issues.

Any ideas as to why this is happening or how to fix it? I've tried a bunch of different things.

Is there another file that should contain the references? Is there another line in the campaign text that needs to be added for random encounter labels?
I've tried adding the custom list to other txt files, such as generic_missions.txt and just about everything else I can think of, to no avail.

Is the function just broken, or have I broken it in some way I don't understand.
