Hello again fellow Fallouters.
I have a question that regards combi-weapons and whether it is possible to create them.
As I have said before I have been doing this for some time now (on and off) and I have never come up with a way of doing this that suits a realistic style. This is exactly what I mean by a combi weapon;
A weapon that can be loaded with different types of ammo for a different type of shot, for example;
I think that this weapon, if it were in fallout tactics should have 4 types of fire mode in-game. The first three firing modes would use standard ammunition for single, burst, and full-auto modes. The fourth firing mode would use a 40mm grenade for, well, you get the gist.
Now, there is a problem I have been banging my head against for years that each weapon can only be assigned one ammunition type, and that even IF you were able to assign 2 types of ammo, how would the game determine which ammunition to use for which shot type? I mean, all of a sudden your full-auto is lauching 40mm grenades all over the place!!! OMG!!! Yeah it would be funny but not realistic and you might as well save that kind of slaughter for another weapon right?
Lol, seriously though I have never found this concept to be possible and for all I know it is impossible with this game. But with all you clever-heads about maybe someone has some way in which combi-weapons can be implemented.
I may be just screaming at the wind with this one as it kind of feels like I have already answered my own question, I just cannot escape the fact that combi-weapons would be really cool in my project and it would be a shame to leave them out.
