Chris Avellone was asked on Twitter about confirmation on the cut ending Join the Think Tank in Old World Blues. He confirmed what's in the wiki and added the comments:

Yep, it was the cut ending if the Think Tank "won" and we had ending slides and everything Bethesda was like, "you better not do this ending shit again after Dead Money" Bad guys don't win Only Bethesda won

(P.S. Showing the bad guys winning is actually very true to Fallout 1)

What's great is they got the hidden voice actor cues embedded in the text correct, too, how delightful

Nope, they just didn't want it But glad to see it was preserved, I'm sure the VO and slides exist somewhere, too.

I wouldn't call it a creative decision, more like the publisher didn't want it. :/ So "de-creative" might be a better word for it, and it was another example of de-Fallouting the original spirit of Fallout.

Ah damn, that sounds so badass!!! I'm sad Bethesda is so petty they'd restrict an ending slide and some dialogue.
