Does Anyone Miss the 90's

And I thought the music was shit in the 90s.

Btw. if you think that music is dumb now, you probably don't remember much music from the 90s.

I'm kinda offended yet you are kinda right. Much of the great 90's music came from groups that where around before the 90's.
And seeing how i love rock and metal the 80's and 90's where quite good! Even if i was more of a prodigy guy back then ;)

There was indeed good music in the late 80s and 90s, but overal I remember stuff like...

and

...

But of course, there was also cool stuff, like...

or
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mVGDJmSrrS8

(Which I discovered many years later- I was too young at that time.)

So I'll guess one can say that the alternative / rock branch of music was doing pretty good at that time, while pop music was as stupid as ever.

I miss the 90s. Happiest decade of my life in a lot of ways. Younger, more hopeful, made a living as a singer-songwriter for a few of those years.

I get sad every time someone talks about the awesome music of the 90's and it turns out they mean shit like Scooter and Vengaboys. fuck that noise, this is the kindof music that made the 90's awesome:

Don't know what you have against Vengaboys, Scooter or Eurodance in general, it always puts a smile to my face when I hear such a track on a party.

The 90ies also had shoegaze <3

I really just miss the games of the era. It felt like it truly was a golden age. Given I'm an R&B fan, all has sucked since the 70s (which was far before my time) so you guys shouldn't complain about the supposed crappy music since the 90s :P

The 90s are the decade I was born in so I feel a certain amount of nostalgia when "90s things" are aired in TV, or played on the radio, etc., but I have to say I don't really *miss* them or wish I was living in them.

The fact that I've never been a fan of Nirvana helps, probably.

When handed entropy, exploit the inertial guidance. ;)

I don't know, don't really seen the appeal. Especially the appeal of people who wish they were born in a different decade, or even say they were born in the wrong decade. Sure, when I was younger the thought crossed my mind about it being "cool" to have been around to enjoy the music and movies of the 1920s/30s/40s/50s etc. when it was new and whatever, but I can enjoy the stuff now and continue to enjoy it for decades to come until I die, all the while still enjoying the great products of today and living a more comfortable life with the advances we have today and will have in the future.

I have often felt "decade misplaced", I am a man of my convictions and simplistic pleasures. To be around for the start of NHRA and the birth of hot rodding would be my cake fantasy, I would easily give up what I have or could possibly have in this life for a shot at that, to take part in that. In my opinion cost of living and quality of life in this era are what is missing from past generations. Do you really have it that much better than your parents did because you can goole or youtube any kind of media your heart desires? I am more about RL, homeownership, governemnt regulation, taxes etc. But from what I hear if you had half a brain and little to no conscience the 80's were the decade to make moolah in.

Just look at Bux' pictures for a bit, duder, you'll feel like you're right back in the '90s.

Both you and DammitBoy write this, but Buxy's hairdo ain't 90's at all, neither are his clothes. Doc Martens aren't exactly 90's either (they simply became fashionable again during the 90's), they're typical punk shoes (punk as in the music), but date back to fifties or even earlier I think.

Goes to show both DB and Jebus talk more shit than my anus when I suffer from diarrhea.
